Will it work?
If it would work (since they look identical); what are those different faders called and where can they be purchased (either as a kit or individually).
Thanks much for the help. |

the fader has nothing to do, you can use a carrot as a fader if that it's comfortable for you. All the faders are quite standard and specially if they're from the same brand.
If you broke the internal part of the fader that's different but should be the same
And i've seen faders in the store i buy my equipment. |

| No, I believe the 1000's faders are slightly longer than the 800's and wont fit. |

Thanks for knowing what I was asking about; this is what I was afraid of. Thanks for the info. |

Had enough of them apart to know that they are different faders & won't fit..... if you want something different try the rotary kit on the 800.
The 1000 is a FAR superior mixer to the 800 in sound, feel & build quality btw.... |

I wasn't aware of this; how so? I know it obviously does not have the efx that the 800 does and it's a 6 channel instead of 4; as well as the fact it's built with the club in mind so it's sturdier but what in your opinion makes it better?
I'm personally not a fan of the rotary but i've seen that and was hoping they had a kit similar with the faders from the 1000. But apparently they don't. |

I engineer three of the best club sound systems in the world and i know what im talking about...
Good enough reason?
The 1000 is really heavy - its built like a tank and sounds far superior- they didnt spend money on the effects.
The layout isnt ideal, and its far from perfect and it has its quirks, but it in terms of build quality and sound its leagues ahead of the 800.
It was an expensive mixer when new too.
Of course, its not as much fun as the 800 or immediate - which is why its not seen that much

| Apparently the D/A and A/D converters in the 1000 are of a higher quality and produce a superior sound. |

This is true... the components are better quality.
To the OP- have you thought about making some custom fader caps or perhaps modifying some 1000 fader caps to fit the 800?
That would give you more of the feel of the 1000 that you seek, and not too hard to do. |
