Rogers added the feature to turn off the new start menu in March after adding it in January, after lots of customers complained about it (for obvious reasons lol). Google it next time people! haha :p

AhhH!! I knew I wasnt going crazy!

Shortly after this most annoying of things started popping up on my screen I looked and LOOKED to try to get rid of it, but couldnt find a way how...

So the ability to turn it off was new option.

THANK JESUS !

This had to be on the the MOST ANNOYING things Rogers has ever afflicted on its customers! LOL

Yea you could make it not pop up first but when you try and close the guide by pressing the guide button it still pops up after it.

I've always used "exit" to get out of the guide anyways...

some other rogers tips.

- read the back of your controller and program your tv, its key.

- If you have the problem of the tv turning off when you try and turn on your box and vice versa, go into the options and change power on to "power or numeric keypad" then you just push any button to turn on the box leaving the tv as is.

I'm bumping this for something else...

Does anyone have to consistently have to reboot their digital box when accessing the TMN on Demand??

It seems every other day the info won't come up and I have to reboot... ANNOYING!! :whip: :whip:

we had major prolems with our system. we called and called and all the would do was reboot the system, eventually they had to come and reinstalled all the wiring outside to increase the signal. you have to call them about it. u are paying an arm and a leg, so it might as well work perfectly.

I could see it being a wiring probably. I'm in a high rise condo which could be part of the issue with the connection to begin with. I will definitely be putting in a call to them. It has only been in the last couple months it has gotten worse, and it is extremely annoying having to continuously reboot it and wait.
