Couldn't find this kind of thread, there was only "plane crash" related:D So, here we can babble bobble about everything about flying and etc..

Do you like flying, airports or do you have fear of flying?

Here is some video material from my trip to Ukraine, and it's of course: aviation related.

I love planes and flying. I fixed aviation electronics for 5 years!

I would love to start taking flying lessons but it cost so much money.:(

My uncle is actually planning on getting his license so he can fly from SF to Tahoe

It all depends on what aircraft you choose single engine, multi-engine, crappy plane, good plane etc... lol

For the Basic training Aircraft which is the cheapest is $90/hr. The minimum flight time is 40 hours of flight, the national average to obtain a private pilot license is 71 hours. That's $3,600 for 40 hours and $6,300 for 71. Not to mention ground school and classroom . That's for the cheapest plane!

I'd like to get my pilots license and move to a tropical island and charter people back and fourth to islands.:tongue2

I've got almost 10 Hours under my belt. But things changed and was getting too pricy.
My dad completed his PPL and flew as part of a team around the entire UK coastline to raise £20K for charity (In the 80's so about £40k in money at a guess).
My Grandad was in the RAF in WW2 working on Spitfires for a while and once had to fill in as a tailgunner for one mission when they were short, scariest night of his life.

So yeah, I love anything aviation related.
