He played it at Ultra in Miami that year, too. Must have been one of the only CDs he brought with him.

I saw oakie play in Boston a few weeks ago, only b/c a friend wanted to go and I haven't been out in a long time. Kenneth Thomas was sick, def played a really good opening set. There was another opening DJ too, I want to say Liquid Todd, who played a good a set as well.
The club wouldn't let anyone go out side to smoke until after 12:15, which seemed really strange at the time. Reflecting back, I think it's because they wanted the club to seem full for when Oakenfold got on. Oakie got around midnight and played a pretty decent set. Nothing mind blowing, but some good trance and progressive. The mixing was solid, no trainwrecks from what i heard. Oakie doesn't bring the same energy that Markus or Armin or most of the other DJ's bring, he just kind of chills in the booth and plays music. But that was fine, I kind of like not having the DJ be the main center of attention, getting the crowd hyped and everyone pushing up front to see them.
Here is a vid with a few songs he played:

Kinda mainstream, dont ya think? Hate to say it, but I am getting sick of hearing these songs.... Man on the Run, Sweet Disposition, and One? They dont really flow together IMO

ya, like i said, nothing mind blowing, some good tracks. But i prob should have added fairly mainstream. I haven't heard sweet disposition or one in the club before, so that was nice. Man on the run in pretty much played out imo.
Uncle ED
Ill be seeing him in Vegas Sat, Sean is the closing set, so more time
to pre-party while Paul plays....

I always here you guys say things like....
music these days is crap compared to what it use to be...
well, oak is what use to be... lol...
I like big name parties, cuz I get alot out of a sexy crowd...
and smaller names tend to draw in hardcore EDM crowds which tend to be "less sexy" cuz, they are all about dancing and being in their own world... (and I am not saying there is anything wrong with that).
I am just answering why I am not into smaller names...

You can't be serious. I could not compare 1997-2001 Oakie to 2010 Oakie. That's just crazy. The minute the Swordfish soundtrack came out, I knew his club dj career was over and have never even looked at an Oakie mix since then.
Just go to Pacha. You're obviously not into the music, you just want to get some ass. You should ask over at Clubplanet about this event, they share your point of view.

sweet disposition and one?
damn, even trance DJs are rocking SHM's now? these guys are rockin' it.
