My predictions for UFC 116:

Shane Carwin vs Brock Lesnar: Carwin
Yoshihiro Akyama vs Chris Leben: Yoshihiro
Chris Lytle vs Matt Brown: Chris Lytle
Stephan Bonnar vs Krysztof Soszynski: Krysztof

Thats all the fights I really care about. Also what a big win for Werdum taking out Fedor in the 1st round a week or so ago.

haha...1 for 4, way to go. I picked the same 4 though :P

Carwin was *mauling* Brock...and I'm really disappointed that he gassed, especially after his camp was going on about how he could go 5 rounds. Brock was almost done. as much I was rooting for Carwin, props to Brock for withstanding that beating and pulling out the sub. at least it's been proven for all the idiot n00bs that Lesnar is not god and can definitely be beaten. he's still raw and will get better and better though.

good card overall...much better than usual. I dislike Leben too, but what a warrior to take a fight on short notice, after fighting mere weeks ago, and coming away with the win after taking a fair bit of punishment.

LOL i may have been 1 for 4 but at least it was entertaining. I have to admit this was one of the better fight cards in a long time. Each fight I would consider fight of the night. Similar to what you said I have a new respect for Leben. Not many fighters would do what he did.

The next PPV looks pretty good

Anderson Silva vs Chael Sonnen
Junior dos Santos vs Roy Nelson
Matt Hughes vs Ricardo Almeida
Clay Guida vs Rafael dos Anjos
Jon Fitch vs Thiago Alves

The good news is Cain can punch hard and will not gas. Cain can easily finish Brock.

Brock was totally exposed its just too bad Carwin gassed, the top UFC heavy weights have not fraught for a title yet.

The UFC's heavy weight division is and has been sub par for ages. The first opponent that Brock faces that is even remotely close to him in size and strength he beats with a submission hold. I'm not a brock lesnar fan but there just isn't anyone in the heavy weight division who can stand up to lesnar.

You have no idea what u are saying...

JDS and Cain are miles ahead, wait and see.

Fedor and Overeem are much better too.

JDS and Cain are technically superior to Brock...but I don't see them posing as much of a threat as Carwin tbh.

As for Fedor, as big of a fan as I am...I think he missed his opportunity to be competitive with this generation of HW due to poor management...and I cant imagine him winning any titles in the US.

Overeem is the only dude that can pull it off against Lesnar, and I just hope that he gets out of Strikeforce soon.

Cain doesn't stand a chance against Lesnar. Personally, I think Lesnar is a better wrestler than Cain...although it would be a good wrestling match. Lesnar will wear down anyone with his huge body if he gets them to the ground.

Junior is a skill BJJ artist but Lesnar still has the strength and size advantage.

Who cares about Fedor or Overeem in this conversation...they don't fight in the UFC and the whole point is that the UFC heavy weight division is sub par....if they join UFC then we can discuss those fights but until then I don't give a rats ass about talking about fights that are not going to happen.

It is not lovey-dovey enough for most Trance doves. Having said that, their defensive skills would be pretty tight, as their hands would always be kept up!

It has got me thinking, has any fighter ever walked out to trance/electronic music? I have seen Jason 'Mayhem' Miller come out to some naff electro. Akiyama came out to that Andrea Bocelli song, which was at least different.

Lesner looked absolutely pathetic on Sat, he won cause Carwin had a body cramp.

Cain actually has better wrestling credentials than Carwin, his conditioning is second to none in the heavyweight division and he just knocked out a healthy Big Nog(not the one in the Mir fight).

Lesner just got lucky because Carwin must of had a bad cut, thats not a problem for Cain.

They may have this fight in September for UFC 119 too, which would be greatand the winner fighting Big Country/JDS winner.

I forget who it was, but it was one of the main event matches a few years ago, a guy came out to sandstorm. It was an older fighter.
