ID Contest 88 - Everybody Wins, Sometimes! (pg. 2)

05/06 were my trance years, i`ll give it a try.
Camwin
Not expecting this lead to last too much longer.
GroundLine
Slow weekend:

Camwin 91
Link 68
Quethas 44
Chittle 42
Woonyxoxo 31

Only one new entry this weekend. If the weather is as good as here, I don't blame you. There's plenty of time to ID when the skin is so burnt that you can't go out. Looks like Cam's lead is not rock solid, but he can still breath out for a while.

Uniques:

Camwin 8 (-4)
Link 5
Woonyxoxo 2
Quethas 1 (-1)

Chittle 0 (-1)

Ouch! Link ate a big part of Camwin's uniques, halved Quethas' uniques, and tipped Chittle of the table.

Statistics:

Most full ID's (4): 21, 24, 29, 38, 73 (with 38 also having a partial ID) (all older than 2006)
Most wrong answers (4): 22, 50

I had an "off by one" mistake on the tracknumbers in the stats in the last update. It's fixed now.

More, I want! Entries, that is!
GroundLine
Picking up speed:

Tresor7 104
Camwin 91
m1nt 89
Link 68
Chittle 62 (+20)
Quethas 44
drim3r 44
physe 42
Woonyxoxo 31

With four new entries we get a new leader! The game is still tight with Tresor7 taking a 13 point lead. Third place goes to new TA member m1nt (hi m1nt, welcome here too!). drim3r and physe land at the bottom part of the list, but I'm expecting updates to change things yet.

Uniques:

m1nt 4
Tresor7 4
Camwin 3 (-1)
Link 2 (-3)
drim3r 1

Woonyxoxo 0 (-2)
Quethas 0 (-1)

Link suffered badly with the new entries, losing 60% of his uniques. Camwin also lost one, and Woonyxoxo and Quethas got tipped off the list. The new contestants grab a lot of new uniques, taking the top two spots.

Statistics:

Most full ID's (7): 18, 24, 34, 38 (with 38 also having a partial ID)
Most partial ID's: (4): 35
Most wrong answers (6): 22
Completely un-ID'd: 05, 09, 11, 13, 16, 27, 36, 37, 40, 45, 47, 55, 56, 60, 61, 64, 66, 69, 80
physe
Yeah, this is a tough contest for me. Thanks for all the stats though, it will get me to go through the list at least one more time.

They weren't mine :(

Was away for a few days and there is only one new message, and that was an update. Come on! Join in, it's easy to score some points, at least for those who have followed the more popular trance shows the last five years.

Do I have to start a Tiësto thread as bait to get more viewers? I'm sure I'd get Mr. Mystery on the hook.

:D

It would always be nice to get more entrants, but nine is nothing to be disappointed about. I'd be quite happy if we could continually get this many entrants to the contest.

Agreed, nine is a decent amount. There seems to be a couple of new faces too which is always good.

Perhaps for future contests the host could hide entrants' scores? Sometimes I've not bothered entering a contest because I can see where I'd place anyway without sending off my answers (for the most part you can tell whether an ID is right or not). Also, hiding that 40 point gap between first place and the rest of the field could mean that people try and search for a few more borderline IDs, instead of just giving up as they've no hope of catching first.

If you're in it just to win it then you're doing it wrong.

I want to keep the scores public, it should encourage people to beat the leader's score. If no one can, then the leader actually deserves to win. Simple as that.

GroundLine
Slight turbulence:

Tresor7 121 (+17)
Mach 103
Camwin 91
m1nt 89
Link 68
Chittle 62
Quethas 44
drim3r 44
physe 42
Woonyxoxo 31

The lead has leaped a step forward, but Tresor has informed me that he will not be able to make more updates, so the game is on! Another newbie, Mach, joins the party, and is a good contender for the first place.

Uniques:

Tresor7 5 (+1)
Mach 2
m1nt 1 (-3)
Camwin 1 (-2)
drim3r 1

Link 0 (-2)

Now Tresor improves his uniques and does not suffer any losses from Mach's entry, whereas some of the other do. Mach secures the second spot also on this chart. Link once again loses uniques, and gets kicked off the chart completely.

Statistics:

Most full ID's (7): 18, 24, 34, 38 (with 38 also having partial IDs)
Most partial ID's: (5): 35
Most wrong answers (7): 22
Completely un-ID'd: 05, 09, 11, 13, 27, 36, 37, 40, 45, 47, 56, 60, 61, 64, 80
