Sexy mix, Jay. I was cleaning my house today and had this playing in the background while doing that. I must've looked odd to my neighbors when I was dancing with a broom. :D

yes....everything is calibrated and my phasers are set to sexy.

thanks chris.:)

uploading the wav file to soundcloud...if any of you have unlimited bandwith you can here it like it was meant to be heard...no clipping, fuller sound, but almost 1 gb. I don't expect any takers, but it is way higgher fidelity:)

only 2 hours to go lol:p
Mr Game+Watch
Gonna download this mix and then slack off the rest of the workday. It's been a while since your last mix, I'm expecting good things.

Good to see a new mix from you, will definitely grab it for the weekend.

Great set, i think this is the one ive liked most from you. Its very groovy, and the mixing is rock solid. U seriously mixed vinyl? Im impressed, it makes me feel like a lesser man... :nervous:

Yeah, fantastic mix. Wished it was a bit longer though. Did notice some of those pops, didn't sound like like clipping to my ears though. Some of your records a bit scratched? I used to hate getting a bad scratch in a vinyl, but still can't beat the feeling of spinning wax.

I listened to this at the gym earlier. Can't say I'm a big fan Jay, sorry, just didn't care for it a whole lot. I'm just getting really tired of this whole house "revival" thing and this mix didn't really help. The parts that stood out did so in a negative way, and they mostly involved lots of vocals, the likes of which I do not enjoy. I mean there were a few nice moments after the 25 minute mark, but nothing that is going to make me look at the track list again.

On the other hand, the mixing and arrangement were impeccable as always, and the sound quality was very good which I appreciated. You know how much I love some of your previous mixes, to the point where consider certain ones to be inspirational. I hope that you find the time and willingness to put together something new along those lines.

good stuff man, really liked Jetee's bootleg and the way you blended the last 2 tracks & acapella.
mixin on point son!

Was expecting big things with this one but it lacked any real spice....will check your others now though................

thanks for the listens anyway, i suppose i can't win them all with everyone.

The inspirational comment was really nice. I probably will never go back to playing that kind of stuff as i got tired of it. So much so that my stuff just sat there gathering dust for a while.

More vocals? Call it getting older, or wanting to share my messing around with a broader audience. I used to play what i call sausage fest techno. (music for a bunch of die hard fans of it...inevitably mostly men that scratch their chins and discuss tonality's and percussion arrangements instead of finding an actual woman that they could grind and dancewith....this comment is not directed at any of you personally.) When i had people that were not into this (sausage fest techno) so much come over and played for them...it doesn't seem to work if they have vaginas. It took an accapella or a vocal track to convert them (not just women, just people who don't get techno in general), and all of a sudden it went from weird faces to hip shaking.

Call me more vagina friendly i guess.:p I wouldn't call anything a house revival...since it never went away. (you only have to look at your local bookings to see this.) So if i decided to do another one of these, you won't like it, because it will have vocals.

Bill Withers has one of the greatest voices of all time imo, i just can't pick goat farmers over that kind of stuff anymore.:p

anyhow i'm getting old.

How can u just leave me standing?
Alone in a world so cold? (World so cold)
Maybe I'm just 2 demanding
Maybe I'm just like my father 2 bold
Maybe you're just like my mother
She's never satisfied (She's never satisfied)
Why do we scream at each other
This is what it sounds like
When doves cry

:p

(spending time playing guitar with my gf and helping my brother in law out with his upcoming album and jamming with them has also likely swayed my style a bit. Real instruments and real words from the heart you know??)
