I usually write my posts as I listen to the mix, so I apologize in advance if my opinion is stream-of-consciousness and barely makes sense :P
I've been listening to this on and off for the last few days. Well, can't say it has made me want to engage in illicit activities with farm animals, but hey it's still awesome. You start out deep, go disco-y for a bit, and then end on a slight techy note. Bill Withers - Who Is He is an immediate highlight, nice disco-style groove. Right after that (22 min in) reminds me of some of your older mixes, i.e. "Meet The Wangs", so it's nice to see you haven't entirely left the techier side of things in the dust. Starts to plod a BIT in the middle, and gets almost how could I say it, 'dark'... less emphasis on melody and warm pads, more pure tech and atmospherics. I really like the track at 40 min, with the vaguely Slavic-sounding clarinet. And the bouncy track that immediately follows, almost reminds me of a rawer, less proggy more housey take on Itamar Sagi-Black Gold. You've become an expert at the art of the acapella, they work so well with the songs you layer them over, that without looking at a track list, I'm convinced the acapella is already part of the original song.
Like usual, you save a memorable song for the end, and this time it's a doozy. MK has such an awesome string of classic house songs, I love the off-key vocal and the main melody line in it.
My complaints? Well, like others have said, the song at about 12 minutes, and the one at 45 min, in has a lot of popping/crackling, which is distracting and takes me out of the mix a bit. I'd love to see you upload a version that resolves the techncial issues. And I found maybe a few of the songs that I didn't particularly care for as much (the more techy, less melodic ones that cropped up from time to time in the middle and in the end of the set) overstayed their welcome a bit. But the latter part is just personal preference.
Favorites of the set:
-Bill Withers-Who Is He
-Clarinet song (assuming this is Lele Checchini - Calrinetto (David Keno Remix) :P)
-Song at 45 min (Azuni-Believe ??)
-MK - Burnin |

thanks for the reviews guys...nothing to be done about the pops.
this is recorded live, and unless anyone has ideas this will have to be known as poppergate. |

| Finally listened to this and I enjoyed it a lot. Sooooooo different than what you usually do and yet it still suits you so well. It's like you took the things you do with Techno and transfered them to this sort of bouncy House. Don't know if that makes any sense at all. :p |

| Damn Jay, if this is all mixed on-the-fly with vinyl you have some serious skills. Very smoothly mixed. This isn't really my kind of stuff for home listening, but I enjoyed it anyway. |

This is miles miles better than the sets I downloaded from you a long time ago. Excellent stuff, too bad about the clicks and pops which are annoying.
The Fever bootleg is awesome, perhaps the best part? |
