that is what "near" is.
I knew what you referred to by just the text reference. Didn't need a picture.
But you seriously can't find a place for less than $1000 a month in the whole county? Please. That's bull.

Just like people who have never been to North Korea know all about it. :/

I didn't say countRy. An oblast is similar to the county in the US. It is a smaller designation that encompasses a designated region. There are places in Moskovskaya oblast that aren't $5k a month. The oblast is pretty large. There is just no way that it could support the whole place being stupid expensive. Even though they do have the largest collection of billionaires in the world.

yes i misread, you can get a place 1k even in the city on the outskirts, like i said it won't be a "nice" place but it will be ok, it depends on which area as some are stupid expensive and some are alright, problem is the city is ing huge so if you are a tourist it will be difficult to travel far distances all the time. if you try to find a place downtown Moscow it will be very expensive.

Downtown LA is expensive too, but I just said Russia in general, not specifically downtown Moscow. I have friends in Lipetsk and it is pretty cheap there.

lol @ lipetsk, that's way too far from civilization :p
look at the map, 1/3 of the country is orange either from forest fires or drought, you can even see a fire on the top left :eyes:
haha yeah I know they are kinda far from Moscow, but they are cool people.
Holy the fires are really bad!

around the city you definitely can, haven't been to moscow since i went 5yrs ago but at the time my friend had a nice two bedroom she shared with a roommate in a decent building easy to get to the center. she was a journalist for an online newspaper so not like she was making crazy money. $1k can get you a decent place not one in the center of it all but it's not that hard to get around from what i recall. st peterburg is pretty expensive too but i managed to live there for a couple months very cheaply; not in the center but close enough. only time i felt like i was hemorrhaging money was when i had a friend come visit me and we went out to eat all the time at expensive places plus all the tourist crap. i would guess even today you can live near enough to the happening areas of big russian cities and not get financially raped.
