he's the pm not the president so he is not the legitimate leader. although i am very well aware medvedev follows orders from him. in 2012 hopefully people take this election business seriously and putin doesn't get re-elected (if he should decide to run that is). i also feel putin running again will get very negative responses around the world and can't see how that helps them. it would be best if he continued in an advisory position after this medvedev stint but just my opinion.

Putin at a bike convention this weekend in ukraine.
over the weekend he also spoke about meeting with the deported spies. they apparently sang songs together beginning with "with what the motherland begins?" a song from an old soviet movie about an undercover russian spy in nazi germany. still weird...

sorry sir incorrect. if you think "the ukraine" is right it would also be right to say "the russia" and you know that's wrong. seeing that ukraine is a specific name of a country it doesn't make grammatical sense to write "the ukraine," when using "the" we generally refer to something without using it's proper name like "the boy." i think the whole "the ukraine" thing started because in russian krai means area/edge and oh-krai translates to "at the area/edge" which doesn't sound like a proper name but since ukraine is the name of the country you don't use an article before it.
that's all :toothless

Yeah, but it pisses Boris off if we add the 'the', so we do.
