Sick show, Mike played a great opening set - Ali, Rory and Wayde all ripped it up downstairs (I missed Brendan's set though..), JOC was absolute destruction (played the Nu NRG Remix of Playground *&%*$ yeah!) and Wayde tore up the main room for the close. Good times all around, can't wait for Marco V and Andy Moor there in September :D

Congrats Wayde...watched this video for 2 minutes, I can just imagine the bombs you threw for the rest of the close!

Big Mike had an awesome set as always, I loved the energy in the basement as I heard some of Rory's and most of Wayde's set! I along with the people I was with were generally very disappointed in Darey's and JOC's sets. Darey started off great, then lost it. JOC started a bit flat, and we left after a bit, so I might have lost the better part of it...
It's all good though, JOC has wowed me in the past, so I'm looking forward to seeing him again soon, maybe was an off-night or awkward pairing with Darey..

Wow guys thanks so much for the compliments and such.
I wanna just personally say thank you to everyone who stuck around for my closing set in the main room. Without you guys it wouldn't have been the same!!
The basement set was recorded and if all goes well ill be throwing it up as a podcast episode within a few days.
The whole night was great too, all the DJs that i were able to see rocked the house. Great to see such a good crowd downstairs as well.
Cheers!

I can't wait for District 36 to open. Pacha is going to die a slow painful death. Let me list what they did for our bottle service so you can see how disgusting they are. Make sure you always check your contract because they are going to screw over everyone they can. Look at what they did-
We had booked 3 bottles at 350, giving us Goose at 350 instead of 400, 2 comped champagne bottles, $50 table credit, 3 rounds of shots, 10% off the total bill.
- upon arrival, they tried to charge us for three more people
- waited forty five minutes for them to fix it before serving anything
- waitress brings the table, while she knows I am talking to the head of VIP service, two bottles of Absolute that we did not request and opens them so we can not change orders(she did this because I KNOW her commission will be less per bottle with the Goose discount)
- she accused my friend who everyone knows to be incredibly honest, claiming she requested Absolute when in fact, she pushed it on someone who is not going to be confrontational
- she was not even supposed to take our table, someone else was supposed to work with us
- she came over and told us we have some credit left because of the Absolute mistake so she said she would bring us water and Red Bull to make the difference. After she brought it, she said we were short by $40 for the total because of the waters and Red Bull, wtf? She got nasty about it and took our entire bucket of water and Red Bull away, including the ones we did pay for
- when she gave me the bill, she charged champagne and charged for the gratuity of the comped champagne(which I expected for the second), so we were charged for two bottles of champagne we didn't get and the gratuity of four bottles
- she did not deduct the 10% off the total bill and claimed we were not getting 10% off, went to management for this
- our bill still ended up being $40 over our total, two friends handed over $20 each to make her go away, she counted after me and a friend counted(both of us in finance), told us we were still twenty short, she pocketed it, another friend handed her the $20 to make her go away
- she returned after to scream, saying we were having a miserable night because we were not allowing ourselves to have fun
I went to use the bathroom after all of this and the waitress manager pulled me to the side, other waitresses told them what happened and asked me to come with her to speak to the manager of VIP services. He was very apologetic but that is not going to cut it. I had plans for VIP for Cevin Fisher next week and that is not going to happen I told him. There is no way I will allow my friends to spend money there. The reason we all use the mez is because the main floor is so unbearable.
I can't wait for District 36 to open. They will show Pacha up and it is obvious they have been falling apart for a while now. Clubs that don't respect their clients always lose in the end, remember Lotus.

I hate when people do this... When Spirit first opened up everyone was saying that spirit was going to show xyz club how things were supposed to be done... same goes for Crobar showing spirit how things were supposed to be done and so on...
Lets wait and see...
Personally I agree with you about Pacha, I too was ripped off in bottle service at the club.
But I would refrain from giving respect to District 36 before the club has even hosted its first event. We'll have a better understanding of District some time in mid October after they have thrown a good handful of parties.

I hope the vip issues don't happen to the people I'm meeting up with, that would annoy me very much. Grr.

I don't want Pacha to die because I still want there to be a place for "those people" to go. But D36 will be legit, especially on Fridays. I just hope they seriously don't let in douchbags and implement a must wear shirt at all times rule. Between D36 and Sankeys, Pacha must be ting themselves. It's a joke it has taken this long for a proper club to open up in NYC even though I don't really mind because Brooklyn has been on fire for some time now. It's perfect timing for something like this to open in NYC. I mean some of the Brooklyn parties bring in 1000+ people now a days so the demand is absolutely there. There is easily enough demand for Pacha, D36 and Sankeys to survive. You bring the lineup, run the place right and have the right people involved, people will come in droves. I see Pacha turning into the new Webster hall....a home for clueless tourists and scumbags.
