| Did certain parts of any book make you uncomfortable? If so, why did you feel that way? Did this lead to a new understanding or awareness of some aspect of your life you might not have thought about before? |

there was a part in the book The Exorcist where the author was going into graphic detail about black mass rituals that was pretty discomforting.
also in the book The Dark Half when you find out it's his parasitic twin making him kill people :wtf: |

I'm happy to learn from books. New awareness is a good thing. If I feel uneasy with it then tough . New knowledge is what brings to me reading in the first place.
However, I was uncomfortable to have Pride & Prejudice on my God tier bookshelf, so it was demoted to my other crap alongside Maddox & Ayn Rand. |

| I live in the ghetto so that's why I hide my money in a book. |

| I have a complete hardcover edition of Lord of the Rings which is pretty heavy and therefore rather uncomfortable to hold. :o |

Yeah I was kinda just playing around. In all seriousness, I remember reading The Catcher In the Rye back in High School and I was a little disturbed; I think I was afraid of becoming a Holden type character in real life. It didn't happen, luckily.
I rarely read novels, though. In school, I hated having to read through book lists. I enjoy Non-fiction, especially Theoretical Physics! I used to work for the New York Public Library, and I would stand around reading Reference Books when no one was looking. :stongue: |

| Was at a friend's parents' house last month. While messing around on the computer in their upstairs loft, I spotted a book on their bookshelf titled " Sex After 50". We opened it up and got a good laugh, but that quickly turned to disgust by my buddy who didn't want to think about his parents in that light. lol |

Reading any book in Kevin's home is surely uncomfortable. He'd stop you every five minutes to remind you how much Obama taxes his business.
What a dick. Who invited this Renzo guy? :o |

I'd leave the 9 people I've been forced to lay off thanks to Obama's economically illiterate policies to dish out the uncomfortable reminders. |
