Not sure if this counts, but I found myself laughing out loud to parts of Ellis' American Psycho. There's a chapter where he crucifies his ex-girlfriend to the floor with a nailgun and mutilates her vagina, then lines her insides with an expensive brie and lets an enormous rat loose to chew her apart from within. The absolutely grotesque level of incessant detail and unrelenting perversion just left me feeling so desolate, the only emotion left was amusement. It really is an amazing novel.

A friend of mine is reading it right now. He's constantly quoting it. :o

Have you read it yet? It's probably the most scathing piece of satire I've ever come across - not even fundamental taboos like obscene violence against women is safe from psychopathic ridicule. It's really quite brilliant.

It's one of the more popular books discussed on /lit/ (which is surprisingly unlike /b/ [most of the time]). I'll check it out :toocool:

I've been trying to get ahold of a book for a year now called (roughly translated): "Do what you want but don't kill her".

It's the real story about a girl who's parents where the organizers of BD&SM parties and how she was the real attraction of those parties. From what I've heard there are some really gruesome stories in there.

I sought this book for some time but it seems it's out of production, however I managed to track it down at the local library, but I want to buy it.

The violation of children is more an act of violence than it is of sex.

You should start with the work of Masoch and De Sade first, if you've not.

I'm not a fan of it and I got other stuff to read (thanks for the notice though). My fascination with this book began after my girlfriend told me on a random note about it. The fact that it is hard to find makes me want to get it even more.

Chuck Palahniuk - Haunted (filled with 23 short stories)

Specifically interesting story from the book is called "Guts". It's about an abnormally skinny man who lost part of his lower intestine in a masturbation accident.
