Lol, right? ing worst excuse in the book. That can be controlled with medication ffs.

I have hypothyroidism and as most of you know from photos, I am by no means overweight. With that being said, if I gain weight, it isn't easy to get rid of... I would argue it's a bit more difficult than your average person. That isn't to excuse people being overweight (because they had to eat like to be like that in the first place, and it's doubtful they are actively working out to try and lose it,) but, I do relate to those who gain it and have a tough time getting it off.

EDIT:

And I thought urier was earlier as someone else mentioned already.

For sure, and my point is that people do tend to use it as an excuse. Yes, it's harder to lose weight, and I definitely sympathize; however, I know for a fact that it can be managed with some effort. "It's hard" is not a reason to not try or give up. I realize this sounds a bit like victim blaming, but it's not. :p

Didn't know you had hypothyroidism. When were you diagnosed?

Well Enigmatik is our resident forum bully - he's just trying to maintain his tough guy image.

What kind of idiot would give a 2 yr old cherries with pits in them? apparently the babysitter. i looked up her profile on facebook and, well.. it all makes sense now..

You know you got dealt a hand in life when your BBQ is smaller than you are.

I was diagnosed when I was 17. I was literally sleeping 18 hours a day and would get up, do what I needed to survive and then be so tired I would go back to bed. It was beyond ridiculous and I was seriously underweight because I wasn't awake long enough to eat much. People thought I was just lazy (even my doctor who was total ,) I had to basically demand to have my thyroid tested (thyroid problems run in my family), and sure enough, my thyroid levels were dangerously low. Have been on Synthroid for 7 years now. I haven't mentioned it on here because it hasn't ever been relevant (until now). It has become something rather normal for me though, so I almost forget I have it.

???

You can't survive without a thyroid unless you're taking a lot of drugs for it.

Care to elaborate?
