Johnson is a broker... they'll put you with Unifund (I believe that's the only writer they deal with for personal lines). Unifund isn't bad but definately not the best in terms of claims service.
Same deal with BelAir... decent prices, not great service.
You can take two views with insurance; either it's a commodity so the only thing that matters is the price, or it's a service so what matters is how they handle your claim should you have one. I tend to take the latter view; however, since my job is in claims that kinda stands to reason. The reason I recommend TDI is because if you fall into one of their affinity groups you get great rates, a fantastic policy (on property... all auto is the same), and really good service. There are other insurers that find this balance though. I would; however, recommend that if service is more important then price you will have your best luck with an independent broker; if price is more important then service you are probably best off with a direct writer. |

Plus with TDI you may end up with one of my employees handling your claim (if you are unfortunate enough to have one), which means great claims service.... especially for you Sugar Titts. |
You don't say? I've never done the name-drop thing before, any suggestions how I would go about doing it? Perhaps I should just unzip my pants, point to my crotch and say "Craig sent me!"?

Your best bet would be to come to my office and unzip my pants.
Truthfully, if you have a claim give me a call. |

Im with Wawanesa.
Always given me the best rates.
But I dont get a lot of the creature comforts that come with(RBC for example) like dropping off rental car for you/picking up your car with a tow if it needs work etc...but you pay for that in your premiums. |
