Anyone made or making an album? (pg. 5)

Did 4 'albums' back in the day, all way before I got any music signed. Right now I couldn't be bothered. If I did one I would want it to be pretty darn versatile. And you know what? I'm not. Tons of albums from artists under the radar are just so boring (like 80% regular 4 by 4 dance tracks) and honestly I don't want to feel the same about my own work.

If I'd ever do an album it would need at least 3 vocal tracks. Some snappy/poppy/commercial, some ambient-like, some deep house/deep prog and some prog housey stuff.

If you make an album with your trademark atmospheric style of progressive i would totally purchase that album :D

Thanks for the kind words!
If I do that will definitely play a major role in the music as always :).

I haven't yet, but I've been thinking about it a lot.

Mistiquemusic would be the perfect label for your music i think. :)

working on an album, no deal in place other than i hope it opens me up to new audiences. i started in Sept, right now i have 38 ideas, 17 full instrumentals done and 4 vocals recorded. just trying to go thru everything, pick the best 12 and finish them. i'm kind of doing a 2010 update on some of my favorite albums & singles when i first got into the music (armand van helden, bassment jaxx etc).

tbh it's been really hard, especially making executive decisions on your own music, it is freakin impossible. one day i think i have a hit the next day i don't even want to show the track to my gf. all in all though if this doesn't get released as an album or i'm wrong and it sucks at least i have a ton of originals to send out there :)

Albums are stupid. 99.99% of the time they have filler. They always have some kind of god damn filler. Beethoven didn't have any albums, look how he turned out! And Pryda!(his 1st is coming soon tho)

Daft Punk's new album is going to have filler!

The definition of an album is a set of musical numbers of varying quality that are designed to lure in the consumer with popular works so that the artist can sell more songs than they could individually.

Hmm, Beethoven versus Pryda...

I think it's probably true that most albums have filler, if not all. CD length might encourage this, since it's harder to write 60 to 80 minutes worth of music without including filler than it is to write 45 to 50.
