I need clear headlight lens covers for a 2002 Hyundai Sonata.
I'm checking online, but only see the whole headlight assembly, which i want to avoid if possible.
Does anyone know if the lenses are sold separately or would I just have to buy the whole assembly to replace them?
Thanks. |

| It's pretty rare that you'd be able to find a lens cover as opposed to the entire assembly. They are not normally sold seperately as replacing the entire assembly is quick, easier, and more cost effective then removing a lens cover and properly (all sealed up and ) replacing it. |

| Go get it at a junkyard. |

| If you replace the whole assembly you're gonna have to change the headlight fluid as well. It could get pricey. |

and if you're doing that you might as well rotate the wiring harnesses too... I mean you want even wear to maximise the life of them. |

| Can't replace just the lens, as it would lead to leaking and fogging up of the lens. If u buy aftermarket, expect them to turn hazy and yellow within a year. Stick with the OEM. have a body shop order them for u or any auto repair place at their shop cost from the dealer, which is a huge price reduction if u have a friend in the field. |

that's what's happened to my current ones which i believe are OEM.
there's no way to clean them right?
i have to check with the dealer, as i still may be under warranty. also gotta replace/fix the back light assemblies as they're leaking water into the trunk. :\ |

Sam, yes you can 'clean' them but it is somewhat involving. I have done this with mine and it turned out great but does require some maintenance. It's a matter of actually sanding the lens, polishing it, and then protecting it. It's pretty inexpensive too.
Take a look here and see if it's your cup o' tea:
