It's not about the DJing itself, it's about the jetlag and the lack of sleep.
Also, what not everyone realizes is that while DJing itself is easy, if youre a big name such as Deadmau5, there's a huge pressure on you at every gig. All eyes are on you and if you're not delivering a good show, people will be dissapointed.
Doing one gig every few weeks and delivering a good show isn't hard. Doing multiple gigs a week is.
Very true. It takes a lot out of you and whether you like someone/artist/DJ or not you should at least try to put yourself in their shoes...especially with health related .
All you haters need a vacation...or something.

This could also just be a simple case of severe dehydration. But speculating is pointless, really.

someone called him a DJ and it was just too much for him to handle and he fainted because of the rage that was building up inside.

Why did the music stop right when he fainted? Wouldn't it keep running? Or is it directly linked into his consciousness?
Also I heard he was in Washington DC 2 days before his gig doing nothing.
Sounds like a publicity stunt to me, but whatever....get well soon nonetheless.

I actually wondered the same thing. it's like the second he fainted, almost immediately the music completely stops, as well as the stage lights. and the lights of the club all turn on. I found that a little weird

While this may be true for a lot of DJs and performers, I seriously doubt that his fanbase is the type that would pick up on a "bad show". I mean they're already there, how much worse could it get?

You don't need to necessarily view "show" in a kind of mixing type. "Show" also means that people expect you to look happy, smile and fistpump and jump around the stage and what not. This isn't exactly hard, but everyone has a bad day from time to time. But these guys are expected to always look happy and be energetic. No one wants to be at a gig where the DJ looks like he has a depression.

I don't know about that...Digweed has a pretty successful career and I don't think I've ever seen him smile or his hands go above shoulder height.
