I've come to the conclusion that you are, in fact, bent.

You ARE joking right??

The comment about ambient was flippant, but he is probably about right when it comes to market share. I say this as an ambient producer with a deep love for the music. And not a yoga instructor, nor even a yoga student.

ambient albums can sell quite well on iTunes. have seen some with bonzai go over 3000 album sales on more than one occasion. ambient doesn't seem to do well on beatport or when not in album form.
Lolo
well, I was wondering why Trilogique did so well in terms of sales, now you answered my question.

That's obvious that my target audience and I are just likeminded.

Yes, but, the real question is how well is your remix of Piledriver going to sell? :gsmile:

Yeah, but he was way off the mark RE breaks.

And I think ambient (warning: loose use of term) albums are the only electronic albums that sell well. Look at Chicane's albums, sunlounger'
s, ellen alien and apparat, telefon tel aviv, the ministry of sound chillout comps (probably some of the better selling MOS comps)... Its not strictly ambient in the strictest sense, but its sure as not dancefloor oriented. Straight dancefloor just doesn't work in album form IMO. All the four on the floor bores people to death without a DJ to create a flow.

Is there a post report button on here? Or is it just assumed that every post is worthless dribble?

You should probably just ignore him. Everything that he posts is either misinformation or pure trolling.

There have always been a few trolls here at all times, but it seems like this section of TA has really gone downhill in the past two years or so, as there seem to be fewer competent and helpful posters around to drown them out.
