An hour will get you into Barrie, two would be overkill. Just north of Barrie (HWY 400 north, or the old hwy 69) should be more than sufficient... this is the Horseshoe Valley area. I wonder if just going past the Holland Marsh (past hwy 89) would be enough?

I was being bitten like crazy so I'm gonna go out in an hour and see what's up...some places are saying it's gonna be visible at 2am (let's see)

oh yea on theddo.ca it says "A camera set on a tripod can easily record the aurora with exposures of 10 t0 30 seconds at an ISO setting of 400."
