Apparently tonight and tomorrow, the effect is the strongest. And after that, it will decline substantially and will be done by sunday.

I might take a risk and drive up north tomorrow, Thursday. Get some shots. Although I have to be at work by 6am in Hamilton ... We'll see.

How long of a drive is it to North Bay from Toronto?

I saw this once driving from Newmarket to Orangeville on Hwy 9. Was a pretty amazing sight, would be great to see it again.....but we need to be away from the city lights i think...

I think Sunday will be too late.

Based on below link (from the one you gave us), it will be mostly over by Saturday.

Strength:

Tues - 2/10
Wed - 3/10
Thur - 4/10
Fri - 2/10
Sat - 1/10
Sun - 1/10

EDIT:
Tomorrow night it will be half as strong, because thursday is turning into a friday. Wednesday turning into a thursday is the best viewing time. I am gonna go out tonight, hopefully will get some photos for y'all to see! Wish me luck, guys!

So realistically how far should we drive out?

I'm thinking a high point in Milton

Good question. Look how far the person at Lake Simcoe sees it in the distance, and Lake Simcoe is northerly already (from T.O's point of view). Go north young man !!!

I suppose will have to drive up near Barrie, maybe somewhere towards Sutton, looking north onto lake Simcoe. Only 1 hour drive
