Listening now man, sounds like a big step forward with the new gear! It reminded me a bit of the Askew style which I'm not really in love with but everything sounds pretty well balanced to me. The mid bassline especially struck me as having a nice lush feel to it. I'm using a pair of HS80s too and I really love them, I hope you three will be very happy together also! :D

Thanks, we're elated together! :eyes: :D

Very nice. How many layers you use for the bassline?

Thanks again!

There are 4 bass part.

There's a subby, almost spongey distorted low end out of Predator, a 16th note almost wooden bass sound which is also out of Predator which is ducked by the kick. This one is partially responsible for the drive. Those two are bussed and slightly compressed together.

There are also the two layered octave basses you can hear in the intro and they're out of Sylenth. They're also bussed and compressed together.

Well. I'm sold on the HS80s now. Yamaha should send you a check if there are others like me who seem impressed with the gap they closed between your DAW and your ears. ;)

Develop that break. Launch a dark fuzzy pad that disintegrates into the arp and fill out its back end some more. You don't have to do it, that way, but do something.

Finish the damn song, man! Seriously, it's going to be ing awesome.

Yeah they really are top notch. I know that my ears and ability haven't changed that drastically so it HAS to be the equipment!

I'm still undecided about what to do in teh break. Almost certainly some orchestral strings, but maybe just to frame the chord changes.

Oh I just don't know! :D

I second the developing of the breakdown into something epic. Drum roll with a good velocity edit, white noise, synth build with some pitch automatiion whoooooo melt some faces man.

That's about all this needs I think :) Do it!

He should be made, for keeping us on the hook, to use each and every suggestion which has been made concerning his breakdown, to make a super-awesome-mega breakdown.

It will either sound horrible or flawless. :stongue:
