Oh, spare me your stupid racial prejudices. Where do you know they wanted to spend the money on drugs? Maybe they just wanted to buy some Tolstoi novels to read between basketball games, ever thought of that? I bet ya didn't, smarty-pants. :p

If they were smart enough to read Tolstoi novels, they probably wouldn't need to steal a white kid's money.

For real, I saw him throw out the first pitch at a baseball game and he barely got it there.

As a white southerner who has been banned from TA for racist remarks before, you're not doing terribly well for your case of not being a racist.

This was a horrible crime, but misdirected wrath will not bring this kid back, nor comfort his family and friends in the least. In fact, it just makes things much uglier. There is definitely a time for people to face facts, but the facts really are not that black people commit heinous crimes; rather, it is that poor people act out of desperation, and the problem is one we face as a society, not as a race.

That said,

What the is wrong with you? Why is this thread being turned into me being a racist? How many times do I have to tell you that this isn't a matter of race? It's the principle of the whole thing, the fact that a successful young man was gunned down for no ing reason. I've posted numerous times that I would be equally as angry if the race roles were reversed. I have black neighbors, black swim lessons, and black friends. I clearly outlined that the men who committed this crime were only reinforcing their stereotype, and retracted my angry remarks.

Show me where I placed the blame entirely on black people.
