But we couldn't touch the bones to examine it. There was one bone - say Ulnar.. then it was in a certain angle.. and I had to know where the sticker was - lets say, Olecranon process.
Right, so youre identifying the bone, and a specific location (landmark) on the bone thats "pointed" at.
Those landmarks can be a pain in the ass, Im glad I dont have to go through that again. Even still, our labs were never that extensive in my functional anatomy class.
Although when I transferred and they had me retake the second part of anatomy, our final practical was to do a full dissection of a cat and name 20 parts that the teacher would point to on the cat. If you up the dissection and mutilate something, you lose points.

I took a 9 hour (1 hour lunch) grad level neuroanatomy class during a 3 week summer semester. That was fun.

CV system was actually really easy.
Cranial nerves are all about memory, if you can remember what the root of the word means (in its latin context) then its doable.

the trajectory of a nerve , vein or artery always killed me :o

Did someone already post that they hoped this would be about Banora's anatomy?

I actually hoped it would be some anatomical question like what a certain bone is called or where some artery goes. I could then google it and post a long paragraph of abundant information here. Lira told me it gets the chicks wet! :gsmile:

Cranial Nerves are easy but it takes some time to memorize them. There were 12, right?!? :haha: Once you dissect the sheeps brain it is much easier. But cranial nerves was Phsyiology - atleast for me.
My book came with 'A Brief atlas of the human body' which was great for learning the bones & muscles (my 2 practicals). It had super close ups of EVERYTHING - real human dissections too
I went to barnes and noble and I still have this lil A&P notepad that is a great lil thing to study from. It's the length of my hand and a lil thick. It was just weird when I was learning the male anatomy and i had to flip pictures of penors and vajayjays on the train. But i didn't care ;D
AND MOST IMPORTANT. make sure u get a good group for dissections. If you fuk up the cat, then learning the arteries and veins is going to be a mission. You will need a miracle.
also - that book was my bible. I carried that heavy ass EVERYWHERE with me. Sat on the train and studied!

I still remember test questions being along the lines of "Mr. Smith was in an accident and damaged his xxxx nerve. This would mean he would have impairments with his xxxxx."
Except of course it was multiple choice and never just as simple as that.
