I decided to check out this event after seeing Calderone twice this summer and Paul Ritch was highly recommended by AY STAR.
Paul Ritch went on around 1:30 and I had a chance to hear him until 4am. The party was going all night/day but I had to leave around 4. But I gotta say it was some of the best techno I heard. I had a great time and looking forward to Electric Zoo for more techno next week.
I had a great time and It was nice to chill with AY STAR again. Your dance moves with the Triad girls was pretty impressive I must say. It was also great to meet all the TAers (you know who you are) and looking forward to seeing Marco Carola -> Calderone -> Digweed next weekend!
I didn't get to hear Calderone this time but I know I missed out on more good music after I left. Looking forward to those videos!

yea paul ritch is def nasty!!! he was laying down some sick beats all night...calderone came on and it was ehhh alright in the beginning but then i started getting bored. ended up leaving around 6ish.

Yeah, i especially liked the guy swinging his hips left and right (white khaki pants, blue shirt) The reactions on most of the Asian crew's faces were priceless but I think there was one guy in the whole group that actually found it funny...

Great beats....had to leave at 3:30 or so bc I was throwing a BBQ the next day, but great time nonetheless. Nice to meet everyone, see you at EZ!

ok review time:
got there before 12 met up with a few heads and enjoyed the opening dj's who were pretty good i must say...then around 1 when paul was suppose to come on he still wassent then a lil while later i see him in the booth setting up, but i couldnt tell if he was spinnin or not but then around 1:30 the music stop and KABOOOOOOM mother ****** layed it down from the first to last record, no slow start or building up his set just bam bam thank you maam banging techno, it was like peak hour/afterhours music at 2am lol was crazyyy just insane build-up's and drops, wow first time seeing him and it wont be my last guy was a monster behind the decks, sucks he only played like an hour and forty five min blahhhh
calderone came on, and i will agree with edubbz i though he was a lil off in the begining, it wassent bad i just though he would follow paul's set with the same bpm but it was a lil slower, then around 5:30 he started to lay down some higher bpm chunky hard tech stuff i was loving it, i was supposed to leave at 6 to go to work i didnt end up leaving till 6:30 lol he was starting to get in his zone with insaneeee build-up's and drops that have you wanting more

Pacha was surprisingly tolerable... we found a spot that had room to dance.
My expectations for MR. Ritch were very high and he met them and then some.
Wasn't really feeling the opener.. I assumed Paul would be on at 1 but he didn't get on until 1:30.
We left shortly after he was done which was always our plan.
Always an entertaining time with Andrew around..lol
