depends on bandwidth...
512k upload adsl should have more slots than 256k upload adsl, etc. Setting a minimum of 2+ slots for all users would be crazy - think of 56kers |

mine is on 3...... but I got ADSL...... imagine a 56k user with 3 slots......

| Definatly based on bandwith. I know some people if u made them share 2 slots they would never finish there dl(ppl on 56k for instance). On another note my downloads are slow as hell, despite i have 512 down 128 up dsl. |

| on 5 56k i fink its best having 1 up slot, as in my experience when imm downloading a file and someone downloads from me i suffer a loss in my download speed and having 56k users having with more than 1 upload slot is going to slow down their downloads more, thus they may deciede the hub is not for them |

Greater than that >>> 3 or more |

raise the slots depending on bandwith...personally i hate the people that have T1 and only one slot ...because that slot is almost NEVER open

lol, on the other hand sometimes people download off me at 2kb a sec or less and im on dsl :( |

I d/l at any speed.. it gets done eventually and my computer is doing all the work.. a share is a share.. the speed is not the issue here.
