| Took me two hours, got to 95% and then it cut me off. Now it tells me the file is unavailable. |

| I am downloading it fast enough, don't know where your problems come from. I will be back with some feedback later on. |

Started off fast for me too, then it just stopped. |

Just had a listen. Very cool mix, with interesting versions of well-known tracks (even I knew almost all of them and I dont listen to trance on a regular basis). The flow was quite good, I liked the intro with those breaks remixes and then into the "ordinary" 4x4 beat. The mixing was at times a bit hasty but it was ok mostly. Only a couple key clashes were a bit disturbing.
Anyway, enjoyed it a lot. My favorite was the BT track, very hypnotic. :) |

Yeah, I tend to try different mixing styles for different genres and I went with an unsubtle, "aggressive" approach in many places here. Which parts did you think were out of key?
Thanks for the link, Stu, by the way. |

| aaaah, the nostalgia... Finally someone made a trance mix i can listen to all the way to the end.. Great tracks, many great memories, i dunno if its my soundcard but i got some distortion on the Mauro Picotto track. Apart from that, no other complains. |

I decided to push this mix to the front of my queue, due to severe interest. :p
I liked it. Solid in many ways, got some top thumpers on here, and the mix isn't near as obvious as I was expecting. Flow was superb and mixing was fine with the exception of a couple tracks, but I'll get to that in a minute. The real highlight of this mix for me was Lizard, I just love that ing track so much, I must have listened to the original 1000 times on repeat when I was younger, and this version was rather fresh (however it just didn't do as much damage for me as the original would have imo).
I'd like to discuss the tunes in general: Definitely a lot of work put into this to find plenty of less-known remixes and edits of these classics. I did think one track was a tad bit unusual for the flow, and that was Sunblind. It's a ing sick track, and I see why you put it there (Reason has a huge bassline), but it seemed to overpower everything else in the set.
Now for the mixing. It was mixed fine with the exception of 3 transitions that stuck out to me. I felt the transitions from Sanctuary -> Lost in Motion, 10 in 1 -> Lizard, and the Dreamcatcher track to Reason were all a tad bass-heavy, the least successful being the mix into Reason. Perhaps a slight levels fix in those spots would have helped the flow. I can also see what you were talking about with regards to the super ancient mp3 rips, there were some crackly bits during a few breakdowns :p
I enjoyed it immensely nonetheless. I like these time-machine mixes, you do them very very well. Thanks for the music! :D |

Actually I didn't put any effort into the tracklist - these are just tracks I used to really like at that time. I didn't do any further crate digging, I just made a list of old tracks from my laser days that I still enjoy.
And yeah, the distortion on Lizard is the rip quality, not anyone's speakers. |

Your rips probably perfectly good, the quality of the pressing was pretty shoddy if I recall correctly. I remember being pretty disappointed when I finally got my hands on a physical copy and the sound being distorted.
Although I'm fairly sure it was just the RAF mix that sounded bad so it was probably some bad mastering, still, ing annoying. |
