2010.10.23 [LA] Monster Massive 2010 Toom of Doom -- Thoughts

Following tradition, I'm debating what the lineup will be, how good the Toom of Doom will be, whether to even go, etc. [meanwhile, I know damn well that I'm going, but I still need to bitch.]
I'm currently thinking that goventures will follow the flyer now and present in order of: Schossow, Jules, Emery, Axwell, then Digweed closing.
Was originally hoping for a last minute big trance artist to be announced to close, or maybe bring a lesser known but highly energetic trance dj (Ottavani) who would be festival appropriate. I'm 100% cool with Digweed's brand of house being mixed into trance (digweed's energy/sound goes with anything), but Axwell throws me for a loop (swedish cheese mafia). I feel like practically every damn stage has house on it to close. I know i'm a broken record, but for f*cks sake, why did they put Axwell onto this stage? Shouldn't he be on Phantom Chamber with Moby/Carl Cox? :conf:
i hope avalon has someone good. damn the 2am curfew! I'm tempted to overdose just to make a point. :eyespop: unfortunately for me, I'm over 18, so lamestream media and demagogue pols wouldn't care...(otherwise I'd do it, I swear!)

I have friends that are likely flying in from Atlanta for this. I've been trying to get them to visit for a massive, and they can't do Nocturnal, so MM it is!
The Tomb of Doom lineup looks good, not great, but it's likely where I'll be for most of the evening.
If anything, it's a huge Halloween party, right? That should be enough to make it fun.
I still think they're gonna add PVD. :-) |

Funny you say that. My buddy in Miami has been saying the exact same thing, namely, that they need to add one more big trance name to the Tomb of Doom and PVD has been noticeably absent from LA for a while (at least club dates).
Fingers crossed on PVD! I still feel like axwell should be taken off this stage - what a weird lineup if PVD gets added! |

Yeah, and PVD's schedule doesn't list anything after mid-October, so he seems to be open.
It is a strange lineup, but variety is the spice of life! I'm pretty easy to please, so if a DJ I don't care for is on the main stage, I can go over to the dubstep area for a bit and have fun, I'll just ignore the dude-bro teenagers. :-) |

I agree noctural lineup is better than MM so far, but MM lineup may expand. i'm going to both. why limit yourself? u can rest when you're dead.
my miami friend said pvd ripped it up yesterday at Crash Mansion in Miami. He played super hard. the florida forum has rave reviews. unfortunately, I think he's tighter with insomniac, rather than go ventures. so if pvd does not come to mm, then insomniac, pls book him at palladium.
