Even less credibility than before...you should read the Wiki you linked.
This is the only part you probably read "Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) typically is centered at 4000 Hz."
And missed...
"The louder the noise is, the shorter the safe amount of exposure is. Normally, the safe amount of exposure is reduced by a factor 2 for every additional 3 dB."
Some logic...A kick is by many dbs the loudest part of most electronic music, so it will have the most effect on hearing loss on average. Unless of course you are making music that has a mid range portion of your track consistently hitting high decibles every 4 bars. In that case you either suck at mixing or you are putting too much mid range in the track. |

| Why is it louder? because your ear doesn't boost those frequencies so people artificially make it louder to compensate for your ears lack of sensitivity to those frequencies. Look at a ing fletcher munson curve you dunce. Your ear is designed to be the most sensitive at 4 k which is why that area is the most dangerous you ing idiot. |

which bottom feeding barrel did they find you in? Human Resources = Fail
If you can explain how a -20db 4khz sound is more damaging than a -7db Kick sound in a dance track...you win something. I dont know what...but you win something. |

Retard of epic proportion, this is the sensitivity of the ear to hearing the oscillation of sound waves, it is not what determines hearing loss while making dance music. If anything listening to something that is 16khz or higher at the same decible of a 4khz should damage your ears far more than 4khz...which makes your whole logic based on this chart null and void. |

I give up
Go get an education you ing twat as you are too dense to comprehend anything. THink of the last time your ears hurt. Was it from bass frequencies ? Or was it some screeching sound that was around 4 kz. Your is more sensitive therefore the dB level is compounded making it more dangerous you ing numbskull. |

Does your masters degree explain your failure at debating things you think you know? How did it help you here? And why did you end up here...talking bull if you have a master's degree? Something is wronggg somewhere... |
