Do me a favor. Read that link you posted(ask a friend who has passed English 101 with a B or higher to help you), and tell me...does a -20db 4khz sound damage your ear more than a -7db Kick. Will bet you anything, the -7db kick will hurt you more over a long period of time. My advice is turn it down or eq it out when you have set your kick level and most of your other levels, especially when you are for the most part arranging music and playing back your arrangement. Free advice.

Hey... What are the key frequencies of a nice punchy kick?

When you wipe your ass, do you look at the paper if it's still got on it? I know I did, but I stopped a few days ago. And now I can feel an uncomfortable itch near my anus all the time. I think it's because of the excess hair near the hole, the just gets stuck there and forms into something that you could call dreadlocks if they only took place in some dark skinned head.

The problem is, I'm afraid to shave my assial hair because of the stubble. That could tear my ass into one ed up bloody crack of an ass when walking.

Kismet and JEO, you could both benefit from a visit to a professional for the applicable subjects.

Don't get me wrong, I was not in any way partaking the discussion about the subject in hand. Don't flame me bro. I know nothing about these ing curves you all are arguing about.

Depends on the SPL volume. This is where Fletcher-Munson comes in and given the chart the 4khz signal would be a bigger problem for sure in most cases. :)

Man I'm clueless on what to do about it. I just don't know how to explain it to a doctor. I know they can be a problem if you're fat, because of the usual excrement of an obese person being quite un-sturdy, but I'm not fat at all! My butt always gets compliments from ladies around, little does any of them know it's a completely different ball game between the cheeks.
Mad for Brad

JBJ, its probably nothing serious, some degradation is to be expected from your ears over time I think.

I already know I have age-related degradation. I can no longer hear anything above 16 or maybe 16.5 kHz in either ear, but that is normal for someone in mid-twenties.

This phenomenon is recent and rather sudden. Normal aging of hearing does not occur lopsidedly, nor does it simply appear one day.

And I have already given up listening to music, since it sounds bad lopsided.

Hear degradation always sounds daunting to me. How old are you now? I can't imagine how it would be looking at a spectrum analyzer that shows frequencies only above 16 kHz and I can't hear anything.. I don't want to get older.

I am twenty-six.

I am hoping they figure out how to regrow the hair cells in human ears sometime in the next twenty or thirty years, so everyone with sensorineural and age-related hearing loss can get kid hearing again. Birds and reptiles can regrow those cells, so scientists need to figure out how to turn on that function in humans.
