Bass sounds cool! How are you liking the Leipzig so far? (yeah, probably a dumb question). Definitely interested in hearing your thoughts on it as you spend more time with it.

I'm finding the sound incredibly powerful and rich with a lovely rasping slagggg of a filter (me I my mate thought about making our own line of analogue synths with the following names; - The Slag, The Bitch and The Ho! - what a marketing laugh they would be).
Such an aweking for me to just be able to twist dials - one per function and record on the fly - really quite liberating. Also with softsynths I hate it when you for example open a filter and the sound changes in other subtle ways that for me make it sound odd and unpro.
It's the fattest thing I've heard and I'm looking forward to using it in lots of bass lines. Screaming leads to.
On the sound quality - it's noisey - but I dont mind - I just gate it and take the noise as part of each sound.
Harder to operate than I thought - for example 2 envelopes but adjusting one overrides the other so wtf! I'll figure it I hope.....

Just added a little personal demo of Leipzig on it's own, well with just a kick.
I have to admit, that ain't a sound you could come close to in software.

have to disagree there. I don't here anything special at all. There are so many tools to shape any given vst to sound any way you want. It is just a matter of knowing what you want and knowing how to get it there. The hardware might have it at your finger tips but it really isn't something that can't be done well with software.

And I must disagree with you too. There is a considerable difference to analogue gear and any VST i've heard so far. I've no interest in getting into a debate about it (although the OP gags for it I guess) and i'm not saying one is better than the other, but there most definately is a difference.
Of course it can be done very well with software as you say.
