This is a great idea, Joss, aswell as people might get input if someone is stuck at their track in progress! :)

Yea, I've seen WIP threads in other forum (not music related though) and thought it'd be a neat idea, keeps all the upcoming work in one place, more people viewing the thread, etc.
Here is another iteration, breaking apart the loop that was in the first one, going to start adding variations, etc to the construction.
This has been sitting in this state for the last 6 months, it's the only original piece I've managed to make lately... and will probably never be finished as I have absolutely no idea what to do with it now...

I was listening to italo, thought it would be cool to blend it with techno, failed, went back to drawing board. I've been using the same samples and synths for so long now, I feel like I'm not making headway on new ideas.

I am experimenting with this genre, this is my first work in these slower waters..
It is still just a quick draft, just started actually, very simple. But I like it because it's different from my usual stuff, sounds fresh.. :D
Needs moar elements and the synthwork is not conveniently arranged yet..
Apart from that, is there something terribly wrong with this track?
somethings up with the kick. i think its the way it's sitting in the mix. i hear what you're going for with the 303 kick and the sound itself fits the rest of the track (which is nice) but it's not sitting right imo
