What's up everyone, my reviews coming in a little bit late, I know, but all the same.....
Well I finally made my comeback, after 7 months that was my first time at an after hours, or a party! Was great to see the TA's there representing ;)
I was quite fatigued though, I started drinking at 8 that night, went out to a club at around 12, danced till the clubbed closed, went grabbed some food at Euro Deli ( :tongue3 hmmmmmmmmm....), and started walking down to Aria while eating my food. Luckily I finished eating before it started pouring rain! I was outside in the rain for over an hour, walking to the car to change shoes, waiting for a friend to meet me, those who saw me when I walked in know how wet I was, about the same as having jumped into a pool!
To be honnest, I was dissapointed with Piets set, having listened and watched the rank 1 set from Sensation before leaving my house, it wasn't the style I was expecting. I was hoping to hear a bit of deep trance, and I thought that 100% I was going to hear "such is life", I'm so dissapointed I didn't :( He played a lot harder then I expected, Zing hmmm hmmmm...... ;) I also didn't find the crowd to have that much energy, I didn't see that many people getting into the music, just looked as if everyone was totally ed up on drugs, not even high vibing from it. I was very surprised that at some points I was dancing with more energy then majority of people, considering I had already been dancing for 5-6 hours, just wasn't the reaction I was expecting from the crowd.
I thought Michel de Hey played wicked, it was his style and the beats were being kicked out hard, but once again, I was expecting to see a lot more hyped and jumping people, and didn't see the whole crowd getting into it. I can't believe I didn't hear "man overboard", every couple of mins my bro and I would hop up from the bench (my legs got tired and were hurting!) because we heard it being mixed in, then he'd cut to something that sounded just like it. I left mefore he finsihed though, anyone know if he ended up playing it?
I stayed untill 8:15, spent a bit of time in the hiphop room (was easier to dance to when I could hardly move my legs!), all and all had a great time, but I have to say that it was defintely the weakest I've ever seen Aria, I'm looking forward to the next time I go and seeing some redemption from that place!! Hopefully next time I'll have some more energy, and be able to get more into music and dancing.
Good to break the ice though, had some bad luck going on for a while with trying to attend , now I wont be worried about that at least!

Eli welcome back to the family :D i agree with you about the fact it was not the "perfect" party to do it , you're not the only one who was disappointed , even peeps at my work were expecting more things , but it's all good . personnaly i think if u did you're come back at Gielen , that would be W I C K E D ... anyways the most important thing is : Eli is here again :)

Hey, I know that the party can't be expected to be insane every single time, and I'm not putting down Aria or Montreal partiers in anyway, because I know it just happend to be one of those times. I still had a great time, and if I would have had more energy, I'm sure I would have been able to get a lot more people hyped up!
Yeah, I wish I would have been at Gielen, heard that it was just a sick party! I was close to being there, but was a little too drunk, and sprained my ankle a little too badly that night!
No worries though, I'll be back to party again ;)
DMX, the one in the black? hehehe

I'M ALIVE!

Ok well, after getting over one final exam (yes people summer school sucks di*k) I decided to post my review.

I wasn't really sure about going, I had a flu and a nasty cough(still do) with a sparkle of fever... but seeing all you TAs going I couldn't miss that ocasion to meet everyone of you. I also couldn't have the camera with me that night, it may explain why I didn't meet that many of the "new" TAs. I'm pretty sure some of you that never met me before were looking for a guy with a cam...

I got in at 4:30 after seeing Eli running like a mofo in the rain, I was in the car and I shouted his name but I guess he didn't hear me.

Anyways, Aria was nicely packed, the addition of a second row of screens was very nice and the position of the vjs was excellent, it creates less congestion. One thing tho, the vj sucked big time that night... I was very disapointed. It doesn't even compare to the nights with Armin/Miss b/Armand Van Helden/Billy Nasty.

I liked the sets, but wasn't that impressed. I think Rank1's set wasn't "flowing" like a trance set should... it went from good, to average, to excelllent, to bad, etc.

As for Michel de Hey, hmm... it was ok, some very good moments, some bad :(

Anyways, I don't really care about the sets because seriously I had way more fun partying with everyone of you than listening to the sets. I met the usuals plus Grostrance, ACA2000 and his mad crew from ottawa :D (i had so much fun with you guys), Technofreak (dude you ing ROCK), The Rizzler who was more than hammered I was talking with you and you were in another universe :stongue: , Eli's brother ( I forgot your name), Sputnick who let me enjoy his lights :), MEAT who diagnosed me SICK :D. I saw El-see but you were in the "pit". Too bad I didn't meet anyone else from Ottawa :( Also, I think Kati was somewhere in there but too bad we didn't get to meet.

DJ Charlie, yes you asked me if I was from Ottawa hehehe... After you talking with me I was pretty sure it was you. And dude, I'm pretty sure I saw you before and not at a rave... can't remember where tho.

My brain was ed up, cause I kept listening whenever the DJ was putting another track either the ryhme of "magik journey" or the begining of "southern sun"... don't go to a rave with a flu :D

I'm looking forward to meet everyone of you again at either Marco V/Armin Van B/ Advanced 01 :)

Now that school is almost finished, i'm looking for a job  in software engineering/programming/whatever... the funds are in the red now

hehehehe, I couldn;t hear anything outside with it pouring rain (and I was drunk ;) \. Standing in the rain was pretty funny, everyone else was running for cover and I didn't bother, figured it wasn't making a difference at that point, but now I'm not to sure if that's where I got this cold from, or if I caught it from someone!

I'd say I was hammered off my ass in the begining 4-5:45, I chugged down a strong rum'n'coke I had waiting for me at the car when I changed my shoes, right before getting into Aria, but by 6:00 I was sober and tired, just danced all the drunkness away!

My Bro's name is Danny, that fool should do some posting here, I'm sure he reads all the reviews anyways, and he's a pure TA.
