Cant say I like the name change either...
Its like what happened with ETD Popsicle here changing to ETD POP... just makes me think... Pop Music? Pop Pills? I dont get it, and dont like it.
Too early to say what will happen right now, but if I see acts like Chuckie, Afrojack, and Swedish House Mafia on the lineup... that will tell us everything we tranceaddics need to know.
While I think 'Jochen Miller - Classified' is a great tune (despite being a ripoff of C'Mon)... announcing it as the anthem so early was a bad idea. The track gets released next week, and is going to become so stale by the time the actual festival comes around. |

It worries me that maybe the event is repairing to bring in other genres, which for me is sad because it really was the "super bowl of trance" and i still have yet to attend one... |

| good move! the more i listen to older trance even earlier stuff when i wasnt into trance, the more trance nowadays is pretty much garbage. even when compared to 5 years ago... was nice listening to early ASOT and GDJB on the road to LA this past weekend. perhaps they'll have a neotrance/melodic techno stage next year. heh i remember when i wanted to go to TE too, welp. |

| Dissapointed with the name change as well. Sure they say they will keep with the trance but now they will be deciding what falls in the trance border to get more people. Shame. |

Shame. | or get out the typical fluffy uplifting trance. would be nice to see a psytrance, neotrance, acid trance, etc stage. so many subgenres not getting enough exposure. |

| true but they dont need a spot at trance energy. I love this event for still being one of the few that goes with true classic style trance. And those that are booked usually play that style even if not their own today. it influences their set. |

I work for a very prominent media company and we lie/spin/cheat our news stories, tabloid headlines, all the time. We routinely say the opposite of the truth to cover our ass. I can almost guarantee ID&T is not telling the truth.
So I feel a trance parade of horribles coming. If they're not bringing lil' jon, afrojack and chuckie, then it will be some other non-trance hack which ruins the only pure trance event.
I actually had planned to go this year after wmc, but then I was invited to go to Eurofest Mexico in Mexico City right before WMC. hmm - now i'm very torn. might have to change my plans and rush to the Netherlands b4 it becomes "Dubstep Energy".
This potential Jochem Miller anthem is even worse than SVD's anthem from last year. There's definitely symbolism behind whatever song they pick - the direction of TE is moving away from pure trance, and that sucks. :whip: |
