Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells" was the first major piece of music i learned how to play on my own growing up as a kid. i took lessons for a few years, but quit because i hated it. after picking it back up on my own, i found much more enjoyment playing it; instead of a scolding piano teacher standing over me. :nervous:
it's been awhile since i've played, but now that i've got a piano, i should be practicing more often. pardon the mistakes, the bad sound quality on my camera, the piano that hasn't been tuned in 3 years or so, and the echo of the garage. :)
anyone else play piano?

good question for sure. a lot of M.O.'s music has spanned many a genre, but nothing (even TB2 and TB3) come close to the original.

As an ignorant kid (and even later as an even more ignorant teenager) i was always looking down on the classical instruments as i never appreciated the music made with them. Now, some years later that ive really started to appreciate music im a bit down that ive never taken the time to study the piano or the violin.

Never really enjoyed Tubular Bells past this opening section. Turns into noodly folk-prog wank way too quickly.
The Orchestral Tubular Bells is pretty awesome though.
