The popularity of Trance in Europe???

I just wanted to get some sort of understanding as to how big trance REALLY is over there. For example, on my Dutch Dimension vid I see a few people who look like they know what's going on then there's the odd person who looks out of place. Are there quite a few people at these huge parties that don't know anything about the genre or the DJ???

What else would you listen to if you live in Europe, I dont know. . . not rap, cuz German rap is a mortal sin in my book.

As for Holland, trance is pretty popular over here. The bigger trance parties are almost always sold out a few days (or even weeks) in advance..

Unfortunately, on some bigger parties you see more and more people who just come to be able to say: 'I've been there'. This is mostly the case with Trance Energy and Sensation..

But luckily enough there are still quite a few good parties over here... Smaller ones, and also a few really good big parties..

It's not like trance is being played 24/7 on the radio, not at all.. So to that aspect trance is not so popular over here..

France has the same issue ( aka FRENCH TOUCH !!!! )

actually france never even gets big international djs whatsoever... not even house or techno djs!

they used to a couple years back but the movement is kinda dead now ...

and trance ... the only colour of it in france is psy/goa trance in technivals and raves ....

Trance is absolutly unheard of in Southern Ireland.

Once a year, either Tiesto or Jules plays in Dublin, only. But never anywhere else.

The clubs all play R&B, 80's ( :nervous: ) and LOTS AND LOTS OF CHEESE.

I have never been in a club that has played a SINGLE trance track. :(

If you tell someone you're into trance, they laugh at you.

It sucks. I've never been to a trance thing as they're all about 200 miles away and there's noone I know that likes it. :(

Now that is indeed total and utter e... I'm suddenly very happy with what we have here in Holland.. You should really go abroad some time.. Visit the UK or Holland and go to some good parties...

Oh believe me, I've heard worse. ;)

I was out in a local club with a group of friends and as much as I hated it, the best track played that night was Daft Punk - One more time. Which sucked.

I seem to remember getting an unpleasant taste of DB Boulevard - Point of View and Gigi d'Agostino - La Passion. :whip::mad::(

I think hard house is growing more and more here in the UK. Trance is still above it but i don't know if it will last. We have enough clubs down here that play trance/house so I'm not bothered :D
