| I don't want to give away were he works but it is the largest porn studio in LA. So you have about 20 small stage set ups with each about 10-15 mics each. I do believe djRann started a fluffer then quickly promoted to boom operator. He currently limelights as a part time mixer, part time actor. He is known in the industry as the best repair man by far. He also does a good gym teacher. Honestly, if I had that many channels, I wouldn't get any work done. I would put up a big screen and pretend I was flying a space ship. All the support staff would wear star treck outfits and address me as captain. Engage! I would probably last a few hours. I'd get the sound effect guys to get the spaceship hum right and make jet noises when I order warp speed. Also, If I fire a proton torpedo, I better hear it or someone is getting fired. |

theres no reason. everyones a fanboy of something and protecting it like it where their own child, rarely any sense at all coming out of the peoples mouth over there. or they go safe and just say that you have to find your own way. just my opinion, i dont trust a single word i read over there. |

| i just don't understand your logic some times. lots of members on that site are very well educated and know what they're talking about. then again, why should i take that post seriously when you said analog synths suck :p |

hahaha. yeah i know what you mean. it really came present when the new avid interfaces came out and the people that don't even use pro tools started bashing them. :stongue:
but yes, a lot of them on that site are well educated like jupiter said. had a chance to meet a couple of them and i learned a ton of information just by watching them work and conversing with them. |

theres rarely any so thats not unexpected. i just feel like gearslutz are devided in two. theres no grayzone. people are either totally subjective only recommending what they have bought themselves, or unbelievable objective to the degree that they doesnt actually dare to come with a statement at all, leaving you wondering whether they really enjoy equipment or even music at all. here people at least dare to say that some items are awesome and at the same time being aware of its flaws, or on the other side saying that something you own yourself sucks ass. people on gearslutz refuse to admit that. or they are promoting their own company. |

| well i was thinking the opposite. their not so obsessed as i would think. go to AV-forum and you will see obsession. Gearslutz-members are actually more business-musicians trying to promote themselves or their studio or whatever. all about image over there while the true sluts is over at AV-forum or DIYaudio-forum. |
