I thought the bass really needed to be brought out more. Also , the kick and hi-hat sound very trance ish. Use a hihat that is less bright and a kick that doesn't sheen so much. Think real sounds backed by a little synthetic support.

Good advice

I was messing with the orchestration this evening and binned the lot. Tricky to get it sounding ok. Sadly I don't have the Freemasons budget to bring a few real musicians in

1. You realized the relationship was unhealthy for you and your kids.
2. It takes a very strong-willed person to do what you did.
3. This is the first of many rough patches that you will hit because of the wants and needs of your kids. (and the still leftover feelings that you had for the relationship)
4. Hold your head up and stick your chin out because your purpose now is making sure those kids and you have the best life that you will provide.

Please note you are going to have some bumps in the road. How you deal with them will only make you to grow, learn and move on.

Good luck to you and your family

It truly is remarkable that you've come such a long way, tehlord. I also want to applaud you for leaving your abuser, and taking your kids with you. Congratulations! Things will only get better. Hold your head high!

I had no idea you were going through all of this. I'm only sorry that I didn't know and haven't been a better friend. You're doing such a good job of converting your trauma in your music.

It sounds very funky. The bass is interesting - funky, but different funky. Can't really explain it. Love it though :)

Haha, this is powerful. Forgive me if I overreact - it's just that I've never really heard anything like it, though I know a there's a whole genre full of this stuff out there.

You've well and truly accomplished the funk in this one. The electric guitar didn't really do it for me, but what the hell, it only lasts a second or two.

So yeah, submit this. I wish you good luck when it comes to the judging stages. Well done ol' bean.

Percussion is slightly static and digital sounding I guess, but the rest sounds pro, bro!

Before feedback - I'm confused by the above comments about an abusive relationship as I know nothing about this - so I wont comment on that until / if I get to know what thats about.

Sounds very freemasonish which is a gooood thing. Definitely got that funky vibe - I aghree on the drums, esp' the open hat - could use a little more human feel and sound style.

Great mix mate.

Thanks again chums.

I'd agree that percussion is possibly my weakest ting ting so i'll endeavour to improve that.

Cheers :)

Oh and Owen, the guitar was me messing about and definately won't make the final cut. I already have a real guitarist on the case :D

Take a peek at the first jam (axing after the break) for a potential lead later on. I know :p
