No alcohol is involved but you aren't far off. I am curious what people say since, like my Virus TI bank, I want to make one that will sell particularly well. Looks like Slynth is gaining a nice lead.

But, if I do make a VSTi bank, it will be "name your own price" like all of my banks. It will also be made with me in mind -- what I like, not what's popular.

Also, the point of the poll is not to see what EVERYONE's favorite is, more which of the ones I put there are the most popular. Those are the instruments I'm interested in using myself.

I suspect the people that would 'buy' a Sylenth bank probably wouldn't pay if given the option. I don't see any reason why you shouldn't just charge $10-15 for a 128 preset bank like everybody else? Saying that, I DID buy your Virus bank, but I didn't know what you were like back then :p

There's a new one coming out from Synapse that I was on the beta testing for that is the dogs bollocks (awesome to you), which has stunning filters etc on it. See how that goes maybe, if they market it ok it's sometimes a good idea to get on board for the early adopters. Release imminenet I hear.

I have many reasons why I do "name your own price". Thanks for the inside info on the new synth. I'll definitely keep an eye out for it!

Sylenth is my goto for tarnce.

Take a look at KarmaFX too. That thing screams.

Predator does some tasty bass via some distortion.

What do you use? (if you use any VSTis)
DJ Robby Rox
Well if you go with a popular synth but make a less than quality bank its not going to really matter either way.
So perhaps you should definitely exercise some discretion as to what synth you actually LIKE performing on. I can tell you that theres a ton of synths I like a lot, but I still stick with z3ta cause I know it best. Its not so much about which one I like the most as which one I arbitrarily learned to program the most.

Otherwise, if it doesn't matter, and money/experience is all that motivates you, I'd prob go with sylenth just for the amount of hype that tends to follow it. Zebra gets hyped too, but I still think sylenth would be a smarter business venture.
