i use fm8 alot for pads..and leads.. minimonsta for bass.. aswell as a bit of nexus for stabs and stuff...
there is just so much soft synths out there, im trying to keep everything to a minimal..and focus on learning a few..
i might get myself a present this winter and buy an analogue synth.:nervous: |

I've got DCAM but have not liked it yet - just to weird and random and unusable - I find in a mix it seems to clutter things so far. I notice Cryophonik praising Strobe, and now yourself > what do you use Strobe for in particular? |

Simple sounds. Strobe is a very easy to grasp single oscillator synth you just need to look at it for a bit :-). It can be intimidating at first but just try it out. I haven't even really looked into it's modulation capabilities but from what I've heard I suspect it's pretty darn powerful in that area as well. In many cases Strobe is really easy when it comes to replicating monophonic sounds.
I haven't made time to look into Amber en Cypher yet... They scare the out of me haha. |

| Fabfilter's Twin2. Pretty much awesome and rather easy to make sounds from scratch. The GUI is nice too. |
