2010.12.31 [LA] Gabriel and Dresden + ATB for Giant NYE at the Hollywood Palladium (pg. 6)

I've always heard nice things about G&D. I had a friend back home who said they came back to their apartment after a gig and just chilled and played some records.

It's nice to hear about DJs doing that in cities with a smaller EDM scene (like Atlanta), so the fans don't feel forgotten. So many DJs seem to only care about LA, NYC, SF, Chi, and Miami, and ignore everything else i.e. "Let's just get to the airport and get out of here".

That was my first thought.

I'd be interested in hearing Francis Preve's set. He's the producer who co-wrote "Yin" with Wolfgang Gartner, arguably one of Wolfgang's greatest productions. Many of you might know this tune by the bootleg mashup produced by Dave Spoon "Yin for the Kill." I've played this one many times at Circus and up in San Francisco at LovEvolution last year. It always gets a furious and chilling response, especially by all the trance heads at Circus.

It sounds like there is an ape in the background.

well, i'm pretty sure there's going to be a lot classics since they haven't produced anything together for the past couple of years. still love the Andain and Motorcycle productions.
