This.
Equality doesn't mean everything has to be the same for everyone. It would be completely moronic to ignore the obvious differences between men and women, both physically and mentally.

If women want equality, then why do they enjoy getting in for free at clubs? I never hear them complain when something is in their favor. |
Men don't complain when they get paid more than women. They don't complain when they can get ready in 15 minutes because it's socially acceptable. Men don't complain etc. etc. etc.
Of course people aren't going to complain when things are in their favor. It's stupid to even suggest that they should. Should they refuse to go to that bar/club etc. because they will get in free?
Oh, and need I remind you that the brains behind those marketing schemes are almost always men... so if you're the ones handing out the privilege, don't complain about it. It's like giving an extra cookie to someone and then whining that they got an extra cookie. |

Separate chess leagues for Russians and so on. Where does it end?
You can just as well say that because there are obvious differences between Federer and the rest of the world, he should get his own tennis league just to give others a shot. Why is gender so significantly different?

| The issue is more that at those points, the debate on aequality suddenly ends.

I am not responsible for the acts of other people who just happen to also be men if I didn't commit those acts. Each man, like each woman, is an individual being and individually responsible. |

This is the most idiotic thing I've read all week. Congratulations on either being a successful troll or having the intelligence of a stack of bricks. |

Is this really an original work?
Interesting topic but I'm wondering what you angle on this is, and how it opposes feminist, chauvanist, PC and traditionalist views and presents a new idea.
Hey if you love it more the power to you on that.
Personally it is clear cut that men have a higher capacity for muscle strength (thus are better atheletes at the highest levels)
Due to this women can't qualify for mens events at that level, and so would't be in the Olympics, it is a pretty clear issue here, in that the Olympics is there to promote friendly competetion for both men and women, not just men.
All you would have is like some skaters and syncronized swimmers and gymnasts. |

some pearlers from Theresa, who used to argue the complete opposite and ignore the obvious differneces between men and women, both physically and mentally:
| quote: | Originally posted by Theresa
You are making the assumption that women are slower and weaker physically |
| quote: | Originally posted by Theresa
women are equally able to be stronger and faster than men, as men are to women |
| quote: | Originally posted by Theresa
The fact remains that women are equally abled physically. |
| quote: | Originally posted by Theresa
So this whole "men are physically superior" thing is bull. |
The reason (apparently) why women can't compete at the same level as male athletes
| quote: | Originally posted by Theresa
The ONLY reason why women are not typically high competition when it comes to physicality is simply because it has only been more recently that women have even been socially accepted to do these things, and is still seen as "unladylike".
When trained, women can do just as much as men.
|
| quote: | Originally posted by Theresa
I don't think the training they get is necessarily worse in all cases, (however, I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't as good,) but the problem lies, I think, more in the availabilty and opportunity for women to get further training. |

She actually said that before? :stongue:
In a general sense, men are physically superior than women. That's evolutionary fact. Hell, I can't remember the last time I heard someone argue that because it's nothing to do with any superiority complex or patriarchal upbringing, it's just evident from a biological viewpoint that we're built differently to suit a purpose. |
