gay bars are awesome to hang out in if you are straight.
-lots of fag hags with their defenses down
-usually really nice clubs
-no meathead guidos
-good music
-cheaper drink prices
-even old bears can boost your self esteem
-you always get offered a free haircut...always. |

Of course people aren't going to complain when things are in their favor. It's stupid to even suggest that they should. Should they refuse to go to that bar/club etc. because they will get in free?
|
They could pay and still go in. I doubt the club would refuse their money. |

The reason (apparently) why women can't compete at the same level as male athletes |
I honestly don't remember writing that, but if I understand my own point out of context, it would be that women have the capacity to be just as strong or stronger than some men. We're all different... there are some women who are much stronger than probably every single TA on these boards.

No no, don't turn this around. Women strive to be equal except for where they already have an advantage and they're silent. You want equal rights? Then make your own damn strip clubs instead of being the stripper in a largely lack of male-stripper society. I'm sick and tired of giving you $20 bills because you're hot and stupid. I want YOU to give ME the damn money because I want to be hot and stupid for once.
Oh so you're saying it's fine to be "separate but equal". You say it's OK for me to stand in line while you waltz up to the front and get in free because you're a female? Well fine. Then I'll be fine with getting paid more money for the same position. Fair? After all, that extra money I make is being spent on entering the club, where as you have free club entrance insurance. If you want to make more money, then stand in line.
But women take advantage of this. Don't blame it on men again. You validate their scheme by taking advantage of it. That's like saying it's McDonalds's fault for you eating there every day and becoming fat. No, it's your fault for eating there every day. |
This is one thing I always argued in my Women's Studies classes. They always say "fight your privilege blah blah blah". So if I have an interview for a job that is going to make my life awesome and I REALLY want it, and they offer it to me over say, a black woman, should I decline because there is a possibility that I am being privileged? Should I decline student discounts because I am being privileged? Should I demand to pay to get into a club, make a complete show of myself and spend money I don't need to otherwise spend because I might be getting a privilege?
The point of "fighting for equality" isn't to ask those who are getting privilege to give it up. It's to bring attention to the areas where people are being privileged or disadvantaged so that we can stop making the same mistakes.
The stripper thing - I am going to take that as you joking/trolling.
You can be fine getting paid more... why wouldn't you be happy about that? The problem lies in the system where women aren't given equal opportunities to achieve the same wages. It isn't your fault that you got paid more.
Of course people are going to take advantage of anything that makes their life easier. The "scheme" isn't validated by women showing up, it's validated by the increase in drink sales and more money. If you have an issue with it, take it up with the club/bar owners. They are the root of the problem, not the women. Your McDonalds reference is not comparable. Try changing it to McDonalds giving free food to all homeless people. Of course they are going to take advantage of an opportunity like that. Why wouldn't they?

| I have filed lawsuits against all bars/clubs in the Greater Toronto Area that offer free entrance to women on any given night while charging men. I am suing for $10 million in damages and when I win I'm throwing one hell of a party. |
