i love dallas superstars lol. shame on lieb

I've seen him spin a few times around Europe and mostly his gigs have been pretty good, nothing to OMG about but listenable and danceable at best. Most of them obviously from long before he got fully into the more minimal techno. One I remember being absolutely terrible in every way imaginable tho and that kinda got me to lose my biggest faith on him as a DJ. His set here featured a handful of bangin' tunes but overall it wasn't too special to keep me interested all the way through. Still he's one of the producers I've been following since the early 90s so I was hoping for the best.

Haha, can't remember exactly what he called the style of trance but "candy trance" is probably the closest. :stongue:

Not only that but the music he plays is extremely boring imo. He would be the last person i would have seen in that lineup

I don't hate Lieb as he has some stellar productions...that being said, my limited experience of seeing him live makes me want to avoid him like he was a spam email selling penis enlargement pills from nigeria.

His dj sets that i have been around for were among the worst ever....and i took a lot of pills (back then) and still could not dance to that crap. I managed to dance to Tiesto under the same circumstances...and we all know...

As far as Lieb playing "mnml"....i like some, people here will tell you that....but Lieb needs to play "imnotgoodliveatall" to be true to his game.

Funny thing about Lieb is that I never rated him when I was hearing his new tunes. When I first heard of him he'd stopped producing as LSG and Spicelab and was working under his own name on things like Subraumstimulation and the remixes of Far From Over, Flight 643 and that Oakenfold track. I never thought any of those tracks were particularly special, so until I joined TA "Oliver Lieb" = "mediocre trance producer".
Goebbel Goebbel
producer = not bad
live = i my pants just to smell something better than you are playing.

Can't comment there. I'd still pay to see him live just for the fact a trance promoter had booked Oliver in' Lieb.

He's definitely a great producer, but first impressions are hard to shake. To me he's not a genius.

i would still play a lot of his tracks that he made in the past today...and system, you know how much i hate crackers:p

he was actually the first person to ever make me think that producing good music does not mean you should be allowed to try and make people dance in a live setting. I'm redundant for sure, but i thank him for this.

We tend to be sheep while eating little pills with the onstar logo on it aka trance in general even today:p
SYSTEM-J
That's where I'm going wrong.

i still want pills, i just say no now like they were william hung trying to get a table at a 4 star establishment:p

dam that sucks...i still would like to see him just once
i mean if he throws down mostly a techno set with a few classics at the end i would be happy

i heard he was supposed to spin a few times in nyc but never came
i dunno maybe he's not big on djing

still a hell of a producer
