| I dont think above and beyond deserve it, i dont think they have done anything substantial this year, i would not mind if armin wins again atleast ie pulled off asot 450 and pushed the scene forward. i wont be surprised if mau5 or david guetta is #1. but no ing way above and beyond, it they win im sure they hired my fellow indians to change IP address and vote for them. |

Ok you guys ready for the devil's advocate to come through? what makes a good DJ. Is it the DJ with the best mixing skills? The one who throws the best party? The act who uses the craziest pieces of technology to manipulate music in a new, fresh, innovative way? Is it the one who brings the music to the ears of the most people? Is it, in our case, the DJ who furthers dance music the most in terms of popularity while maintaining integrity... Or is it all of those things?
As far as PR and Marketing go, which is, as we all know, vital to this contest. You've gotta assume that Guetta, the Mau5 and tijs are probably going to take the top 3, but who knows in what order. I really wouldnt be suprised to see joel zimmerman at the top spot. *gag* but he would certainly deserve it. a lot of people do.
I still say the best DJs are Zabiela and Hawtin if it's purely a DJ contest. They do crazy with awesome toys and gadgets. Then again, the mau5 has himself some pretty sweet tricks too, right? |

+1 its really a joke but that's just mho besides the whole popularity contest it should be solely based on skillz but that can honestly gauged in a perfect world but since we don't live in one back to popularity and yes the polls are just another marketing vehicle for artists nothing more. |

| i vote because it's really important to DJs I like, it affects their book-ability. a single vote won't tip the scale but people who care about the music should do their part, take 2min and vote because if massive amounts of people who know what they are talking about vote, maybe the list won't be such crap. |

yep, i usually vote on who i havent had a chance to see that year as well as my pick for who delivered the best set. thats only way im going to see mat zo in the states :P |
