I know :(

Damn even if there was deep house around here I would be happy. It seems that deep music in every way shape and form is not present in Houston :(

Just can't stand tech house and most minimal as well as dubstep thats so popular around here.

And then there is the most evil of all... ing trashy repetitive electro house.

Not many choices for an EDM fan in Houston

Heh, well Houston is pretty much dead my friend. All they bring in are washed out tallent here, so you cant say they are supporting any kind of respectable scene....

Andrew parsons defintiley brought some good stuff to austin :). Hell, why doesn't anyone in Houston book anjunadeep artists?

I thought EDC and Nocturnal's lineups were pretty awful myself.

People are negative because the scene today is in awful shape, dominated by dutch trance jockey wankers who have not made anything good since 2001, killed by the ego of their own success.

so what DO you like?

Hell, im just tired of only hearing music that has no soul or character.

Tech House, Minimal, Farty dubstep, mega trance jockeys and Top 40 got boring really fast.

I am open to new things, but seems there are no new things around here :|

So...again, what DO you like?

Why don't you try to start your own night at a bar/club if you want to make a difference. Give the peeps that are doing shows in Houston some names of dj's you wanna see come through. You never know WHO is reading this board.

Activa, 16 Bit Lolitas, Jaytech, Christopher Lawrence to name a few ones that a promoter could realistically book.

Hell the anjunadeep guys have had some beatport topping hits, they are getting to be well known.

Bring some fresh faces, up and coming talent!

Or Hell, bring some old talent you have not booked in a while.

Jody Wisternoff and Nick Warren (Way Out West) :)
