Attitude isn't that what makes a musician a good musician. It is something that, along the way, could help someone proving to be a good musician. A proper attitude is necessary to develop a talent but does not mean one is talented beforehand.

Yes that too.

Ultimately you just want to be yourself without having some form of conditioned attitude. The music should have the attitude and many different attitudes, if you have some set attitude of how you see or do things, you are limiting yourself to that attitude. This is why I hear many boring albums that have some sound, they have a certain attitude, and these albums for me are just boring template driven bs.

No, sex is like pizza. Even when it's crap, you still enjoy it.

How'd the dinner go. Did Schossow eat the entire bowl of cocaine?

Anyway, what's with all these ing esoteric threads recently? "why is man love like sound design? etc."

ing bunch of hippies.

the weird thing is I think Richard made this exact thread perhaps imbedded in another thread a few months early. Or i'm having deja vu.

I think you're right, but looking back, most of Richard's threads are about personal soul seeking or internal psycological exploration.

Richard, I would print these out and take them to a shrink. I think they'll say you want to murder your DAW and make love to your keyboard.

if Richard had been born in the 17th century probably childs would be studying his metaphisical researchs along with Kant,Rousseau etc.. Man stop thinking and relax, music is for amusement, making music is for amusement too.

wtf producing is like cooking? man i dont know where to begin. cooking sucks, i hate it, it taste like , and its expensive, id rather have it intravenous. it can be compared to washing your apartment or clothes. once you have done it you need to do it again a little later. its pointless. but making a track is like, when your finished its there for all eternity, its your footprint on the planet, its like painting a picture or tearing down a house. its art. the only thing i can see that is comparable with music and food is that listening and eating is best done drunk and with friends and hopefully at the same time.

cooking is art. The comparison, albeit gay is rather fair.

Cooking is not art, it's food. Music is not art but entertainment. Paintings are just eye-candy. Posting on a forum isn't being helpful, it's just a bunch of idiots who think their opinion is the only one people should have. ing is no fun either, it's reproducing - and admittedly mostly failing to do so. Come to think of it that's exactly why music is like sex. So many people fail at doing it properly. Only a few are orgasmic.

No he was only there for a few minutes to catch up. I did eat quite a bit from Orjans plate after finishing mine though. I should do more with the Amsterdam Dance Event next year. There's so many people to meet around the corner those days of the year. :)
