So I 'won' the chance to work here for a day - what to expect?

I just 'won' a day working at Hatrixx studio in London, here;

I have no idea really what to expect out of this - a session from 10am - 10pm.
What would you take along with you - a few stems or something?
There doesn't appear to be a mixing desk (IMO a big mixing desk definetly has a bigger more spacious sound than ITB), so I'm wondering what the experience will add to what I already do working at home ITB with my small amount of hardware?
If you were me 1) what would you take with you in terms of a track / idea and 2) what benefit would you expect by doing this? |

I think there's probably some truth in this.
Having a powercore firewire at eye level when there are (what look like compressors) at shin level smells of somebody who'd rather his rack look good than function well.
I'd concentrate on maybe picking up new recording techniques as you've probably got everything else covered already. |

| a printout of your forum posts, get on a podium and read them out at listening volume, so its kinda like elevator music in the background. maybe someone's life will change? Speakin of that, is there a way I can efficiently print out all the posts i've ever made? |

| you dont need awesome tools all the time... have a look at his discography... responsible for some massive hardcore/freeform anthems. If it was me i'd be pestering him all day about sound design and synthesis cos he knows his stuff. |

| how on earth can you work on such a small viewing screen. LCD screens are so cheap, I have no idea how anyone doesn't have at least 2 24 inch screens. |
