Election day is tomorrow. As you know, our group has endorsed MIKE YEN for Ward 20 council. We feel he is our best hope in fighting Adam Vaughan's draconian anti entertainment bylaws that threaten to destroy the type of places that most of us like to patronize. We believe that the choice of the type of entertainment that we wish to have in Toronto should be decided by it's residents, not some politician with an agenda. This is why it's important to elect MIKE YEN tomorrow. He will restore balance to the community and facilitate solutions to those on all sides.
If you don't know where your polling station is, Visit www.vote.ca to find out where to vote.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ALL RESIDENTS INCLUDING RENTERS, LANDOWNERS REGARDLESS OF WHERE THEY RESIDE, AND BUSINESS OWNERS REGARDLESS OF WHERE THEY RESIDE (EVEN THOSE WHO ARE LEASING) OF WARD 20 ARE ENTITLED TO VOTE IN THE WARD
Thank you and please let's do what we can to keep Toronto a vibrant, fun and interesting place to live!

I hope people will not be discouraged by the rain. The guys who sacrificed so much for the democratic rights that we enjoy today (soldiers, suffragettes, etc.), had to put up with a whole lot more than a bit of inclement weather!

Ya I figured so, since I like his ideas of transportation methods across toronto. extend the subway, paint the curbs, get rid of the street congesting street cars etc etc.
he called my house 2 weeks ago, which was funny, i wasnt home but it was nice to see his name on my call display.
a lot of promoters up for smitherman to give a toronto a boost in night life. interesting.............
let the voting begin!

they dont realize that slitherman will let adam vaughan continue with his agenda if they both get elected. Rob Ford wont let him get away with destroying the city.

lol..Rob Ford will just run the city into the ground and then have to hike taxes. He has 0 experience and 0 skills to make it work. All he has been spewing is completely fabricated fantasy scnearios and his entire campaign was run on false rhetoric.
Seriously.. eliminate council perks to save $$? rofl.... those perks cost nothing to begin with, it's like trying to squeeze blood from a stone.

id rather have someone committed to trying to cut the waste then another mcguinty liberal in office using the same tactics that mcguinty used to get into queens park. Think about it. Former David Crombie has never endorsed a candidate until he was offered a plum position in Smithermans office if elected. The patronage has already started and hes not even mayor!
Is this what we want???
At least with rob ford you can trust he will do what he says. Smitherman talks from all sides of his mouth. It reminds me of mcguinty saying "i wont cut taxes but i wont raise them either." and then the day after being elected he gave us the health tax! (smitherman was health minister btw!)
NO THANKS!

The only thing being, is that Ford has pulled most of his numbers out of what is evidently his quite magical ass. All he's done is thrown about a bunch of table-thumping rhetoric with plenty of impressive figures that simply don't add up when he's put to task on the matter. Paring down council and cutting municipal salaries = reduction in public services = trying to fill the Grand Canyon by throwing a brick in it. Talking of terminating contracts that have already been tendered = wasting money on penalties for absolutely no good reason. Add to that the fact that when all is said and done, Ford will require council's cooperation in order to get any grand plans of his pushed through - good luck with that one.
The guy's nothing but an angry bloat who truly and sadly believes that said anger and self-righteousness is the answer to Toronto's woes, which aren't nearly half as bad as they're made out to be.
I find it really sad that people seem to be largely gravitating toward the candidates who are running on the most vague of platforms and who have dismally poor political and/or personal track records, while the individual who's actually presented the most intelligent and comprehensive plan for the city has been largely passed by simply because he isn't full of the same empty bluster as the other two.

I honestly dont get how people are going after someone with 0 experience. It is time to think logically and the fact is that Ford will not be able to run this city.:conf:
