Yes! And I want Roland Emmerich to direct it. Can you imagine how awesome it would be!? |

I don't care what anyone says, Revenge of the Sith is tied with Empire as the best ever. |
it certainly had some of the best scenes in the PT, but the acting remained terrible and flat and i didn't find much of it convincing, especially anakin's turn. still watch it occasionally :p
i also think hamill was vastly better than christianson, if only because christianson took up way more screen time.

PKC- I noticed you have a pretty serious BSG infatuation. What's that all about? |
with the exception of elements of babylon 5, BSG remains the pre-eminent scifi tv series, due mostly to its much darker presentation and realistic tone. i also LOVED the camera style, special effects & sound design (in space) and the attention to newtonian physics in battles. there are all manner of things i dislike about the series, but as a complete package, it has no equal.
basically, it was scifi that took itself entirely seriously, which i think is sorely missing in most equivalent tv shows:

Battlestar Galactica
(Sci Fi)
Most of you probably think this entry has got to be a joke. The rest of you have actually watched the show. Adapted from a cheesy '70s Star Wars clone of the same name, Galactica (returning in January) is a ripping sci-fi allegory of the war on terror, complete with religious fundamentalists (here, genocidal robots called Cylons), sleeper cells, civil-liberties crackdowns and even a prisoner-torture scandal. The basic-cable budget sometimes shows in the production, but the writing and performances are first-class, especially Edward James Olmos as the noble but authoritarian commander in charge of saving the last remnants of humanity. Laugh if you want, but this story of enemies within is dead serious, and seriously good.

The third prequel was good if you looked at from the perspective of just the prequels. Compared to ANH and Empire it was awful.
I'm looking forward to the tv-show. I'm not looking forward at all to this new movie series and I hope it doesn't get made.
Does Lucas even give a about the fans? Did he ever?

I don't think acting has ever been a strong factor in any of the episodes. No one stands out to me as doing a great job. It's all about the story and the visual design.

As for comparisons between Revenge of the Sith and any of the old ones, the nostalgia factor is the only thing giving the originals a leg up imo. |
Also,
I've had it with this mothering autoplay on this mothering site! |

You take that back! Harrison Ford was awesome! |

| I could always tolerate the acting, but the biggest problem was that everyone knew what was going to happen in the prequels so there was absolutely no tension whatsoever and the script had to be filled with pointless clutter. The newer episodes shouldn't have this problem but Lucas needs someone to tone down all the ridiculous he wants to do. |

i completely agree, but the OT didn't have the likes of jackson, mcgregor or neeson, all of whom were bloody average by their standards. i blame the rampant CGI backgrounds, where actors just didn't "feel" the scene they were in.
the story of the PT was mostly convoluted and didn't make a whole lot of sense imo. these movies were supposedly for kids, and they started it off with trade disputes? really?
i still love the PT in its own way, but its not nostalgia that makes me love the OT more. the story was way better and flowed much more naturally, vader was way better (the movies are about him after all!), and there was far FAR less pointless, boring nonsense. lucas didnt have the same $$ to throw around so the OT was a much tighter affair. |

| You also have to remember that TESB and ROTJ were awesome because they weren't directed by Lucas :p |
